Looking at painting my new race car and I'm looking for any helpful
advice. This isn't going to be show quality, but the biggest problem I
had last time was it was terribly dull after a few months. I buy tractor
enamel (read-cheap) paint from the local tractor supply store and know
others have done the same without the dullness.
I purchased the correct hardner and reducer (according to my local napa
store) and have the "correct" mixing ratio.

Any tips just for a good "50/50" paint job?

If that is all true, then perhaps it was the application technique used
that allowed it to go flat?
Lack of Wax and Buffing?

Better paint... and more answers are needed.
Where do you park your "race car" VS where they do?

You see, you only provided a small % of the entire equation needed.
You said you used the cheapest paint you could afford.
(Therefore, it is not designed to last.)

Well, that's a big answer right there.

And I hardly believe that your nearby "tractor company" sells,
manufatures, let alone knows anything about the paints the OEM uses.
