WFT measurements on irregular substrates

Is there a method or guage for measuring WFT on irregular substrates
such as CMU (concrete block) and textured ceilings?

I am familiar with combs, wheels and pfund guages but all of these
seem to depend on an essentially smooth, flat surface.
