John, the farmer, was in the fertilized egg business. He had several hundred
young layers, hens called pullets, and eight or ten roosters, whose job was
to make sure the eggs were fertile. The farmer kept records and any rooster
that didn't perform went into the soup pot and was replaced.
That took an awful lot of his time so he bought a set of tiny bells and
attached them to his roosters. Each bell had a different tone so John could
tell from a distance which rooster was performing. Now he could sit on the
porch and fill out an efficiency report simply by listening to the bells.
The farmer's favorite rooster was old Barack, a very fine specimen he was,
too, but on this particular morning John noticed old Barack's bell hadn't
rung at all! John went to investigate. The other roosters were chasing
pullets, bells-a-ringing. The pullets, hearing the roosters coming, would
run for cover. But to Farmer John's amazement Barack had his bell in his
beak so it couldn't ring. He'd sneak up on a pullet, do his job and walk
on to the next one.
John was so proud of Barack, he entered him in the county fair and Barack
became an overnight sensation among the judges. The result The judges not
only awarded Barack the "No Bell Piece Prize," but they also awarded him the
"Pulletsurprise" as well.
Clearly, Barack was a politician in the making. Who else but a politician
could figure out how to win two of the most highly coveted awards on the
planet by being the best at sneaking up on the populace and screwing them
when they weren't paying attention

It makes more sense to trim the quoted text and just leave in the
part you are commenting on. It sucks whether you top or bottom post
to quote everything but only reply to part of it. I have no idea why
most bottom posters refuse to trim quotes. A wild guess at why top
posters never trim is because it's like out of sight, out of mind.
So... for yous top posters, try to remember that usenet is not a
private server where posts only need to be on one machine. Usenet is
an international deal with many many servers that each posts is sent
to. For each post that has that long tail of quoted text that no one
reads, it adds up when you think of all the servers each post is
sent to.
For yous bottom posters; c'mon peoples, it's ok to trim quotes.
Sheesh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
don't click, dipshit.

You can read *this* just as simply, Leo.

So is this the proper way to trim a post? (Cutting out everything the
others said?) Only asking cuz I don't know.
For everything else, there's Mastercard... or else you could "backtrack"
LOL!

Pay no attention to the miscreant posters. I like the bottom.
David Alan Coe - Cheap Thrills
Album: Castles in the Sand
They judge a boy by his friends
And all of mine are trash
They say you find your own level
Well I'm a snake in the grass
But I can't help the things I do
I've always been attracted to
Cheap thrills
Don't you know I like
Cheap thrills
Night after night
Cheap thrills
Well if you ain't supposed to do it I will....

What fucking ever happened to those tablets anyway? The movie was
confusing. They got smashed and a big ass crack opened up and
swallowed them and fire and brimestone and weeping and gnashing and
all kinds of stuff happened. Is that what you mean by trimming?
Maybe we should like trim or something?
Just imagine the product liability bonanza today if your brand new tablets
broke before you could get them home.

Do you know why you remember stuff when you were a kid but can't remember
where you left your keys five minutes ago? It's because you've been
remembering that same memory all your life.
Use It or Lose It
You are not alone in forgetting names, places and faces. Memory loss
starts at age 16 and is relatively common by age 40. Your hand eye
coordination starts to slow down as you get older and you find it nearly
impossible to beat your 12-year old at a video game. However, don't give
up on that video game just because you've been losing a lot. Exercising
your brain this way can delay the natural slowing of the connection
between your mind and your body as you age.
Constant brain exercise rebuilds the areas that are breaking down. Don't
sit in front of the TV, go out and socialize. The give and take of good
conversation keeps your brain active. Stretch your mind by trying new
things, learn a new language, teach a class or mentor someone. Every
time you do a crossword puzzle, play scrabble or chess, or try to figure
out the logic behind Sudoko - you're exercising your brain. It doesn't
matter if you win or lose, your brain doesn't know the difference, all
it understands is that it is getting a workout and has to rise to the
challenge.

No - I didn't write that!
