No you don't need it.... Just do your security updates and you can upgrade when you wants to. HOWEVER! If yous is true jiffian you will download it just because you like to download stuff and hose your puter... Got that?

Well, you don't have to upgrade if you don't want to. I used IE 5 for a
long time. But I'm using IE 6 now and haven't had any problems.

Ok but I wonder if it will interfere with eln as my startpage and my
Yahoo Companion Toolbar.

I don't think it will change your home page or your toolbar but I don't know
for sure. Where is your sense of adventure? <g> I am a sort of
minimalist, my homepage is a blank page and I have as few extras as I can on
mine. There was a time when I would have said don't download it (IE6) but I
do beleive it is now ready for prime time. I am running it on several
machines and one of them is an old 200 pentium with 64mb ram. I would
download it.

Don't know about the toolbar but you can have whatever start page you want.
I have drizzle as my start page.

The biggest difference I saw as on the privacy tab under internet options.
It now has automatic cookie handling options. Didn't matter though to me
since I use cookie pal. It does seem a lot more stable than IE 5.5 ever was
for me.

Well I use Earthlinks, as a startpage, and use the yahoo toolbar for
other stuff. I like plain and simple and earthlinks is not too bad.

I just have drizzle as the page because then I can check the system status
if I need to.
