I too remember most (but not all) of the movies you mentioned, especially
"Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" and "The Graduate".
It is shame that more recent movies dont show women in slips more. A lot
of total nudity these days but very rare to see an attractive woman in a
sexy slip.
Too bad - a woman in a lacy slip is so sexy.
I am afraid I cant add any other movies or TV shows to your list.
Thanks for reminding me of some of those scenes.

One thing in particular that I have noticed has been that there have been
a few references to lingerie scenes from the movies. For example, Medusa
mentioned a scene from the Marx brothers movie "Animal Crackers" (I hope I
got it right) which showed a woman in a teddy of that era. I remember
that scene (if not the title) quite well. I also remember a Laurel and
Hardy movie where Stan and Ollie were attending a formal party where, I
believe, they were doormen at the event. A large expensive car arrives
and delivers an elegant partygoer. Of course, Ollie closes the door of
the car on the hem of the woman's dress, and the entire back of the dress
gets ripped off as the car drives away. Supposedly, the woman doesn't
notice this as she proceeds to walk through the foyer of the hotel into
the ballroom. She is wearing a silky, lacy chemise that is quite pretty
and sexy.
I have mentioned in one of my previous postings that I am not particularly
enthralled with movie actresses; but, nevertheless, the movies and TV have
provided many memorable scenes of women in lingerie. Some of these scenes
have been overtly sexy and/or seductive, and many have been light-hearted,
but with a sexy twist.
Here is a small representative sample of movies and TV which I remember
that have shown lingerie scenes. It would interesting to hear from others
on this same subject.
Since I am one who really apreciates seeing, and feeling, a woman in a
slip (closely followed by demi-bras and silky panties), the scenes that I
refer to here all involve slips.
The quintessential slip scene in the movies has to be Elizabeth Taylor in
"Cat On a Hot Tin Roof"; but, this is certainly not the only really great
slip scene. Don't forget Liz in "Buttterfield 8". Both of these showed
lingerie in an overtly sexual tone. Another scene that many have found
to be incredibly sexy is Anne Bancroft in "The Graduate". Remember the
famous ad for the movie which showed Dustin Hoffman in the background
looking at a stocking clad leg in the foreground?
On the lighthearted cheesecake side, in the 1947 movie "The Secret Life of
Walter Mitty" with Danny Kaye and Virginia Mayo, there is a scene near the
end of the movie which shows Virginia Mayo in a beautiful, lacy,
full-slip. In the opening scenes of "Pillow Talk", Doris Day is shown
sitting on the edge of a bed smoothing her stockings with her hands. She
is wearing a very pretty light blue, lace edged, full-slip. And near the
beginning of "Please Don't Eat the Daisies", Doris Day is shown in a lacy,
black full-slip.
Of course, Janet Leigh is quite sexy in her lacy half-slip and bra in
"Psycho". Other movies that had long scenes featuring a sexy half-slip
and bra were "Lovers and Other Strangers", and a B grade horror flick "The
Deadly Bees" with the british actress Suzanna Leigh. Both of these movies
were of late sixties vintage. From the early sixties, a movie called
"Experiment in Terror" with Lee Remick, Stephanie Powers, and Ross Martin
(who also played Artemis Gordon in "The WIld Wild West"), has a scene
where a character, played by a very young Stephanie Powers, is forced by
her kidnapper (Ross Martin) to undress down to her bra and half-slip
Also from the early sixties, there is also a very nice, albeit brief,
scene in "The Long Hot Summer" which shows a pretty lady (who is unknown
to me) in a white, lacy, full-slip. Occassionally, on the old "Man From
Uncle" TV series they somehow managed to show lady in a slip. In the Man
From Uncle movie "The Spy With My Face", there is a great scene with a
gorgeous babe dressed in a very short, black, lacy half-slip and matching
lace push-up bra. Verrrry nice. Does anyone remember Julie Newmar in the
short-lived series "My Living Doll"? She was seen in her slip more than
once. Pretty risque for early/mid-sixties TV. More recently, did anyone
see the TV movie "Frequent Flyer" on Sunday night a couple of weeks ago?
Near the end of the movie, "wife number 3" was shown wearing a sexy black
chemise with a very lacy bodice and hem. It looked like it might have been
a Victoria's Secret Miracle Bra slip/chemise.
I'd like to hear from others who remember movies, new and not so new, with
good lingerie scenes (especially slips, but any are appreciated).
I believe, as Suzanne and others do, that these scenes have, in recent
years, given way mostly to nudity; too bad. There was a certain
seduction, class, and elegance to the lingerie scenes. Yes, I find that a
little mystery IS more sexy than the blatant "let's get naked and get it
on" mentality that seems to prevail now. I mean, I find "Mrs. Robinson"
to have had FAR more sexual tension and excitement than "Pretty Woman".

Another good late 60's film was Hot Chrome and Leather. It featured the same
guy as in Billy Jack and all the sequeals. It featured your basic damsel in
distress - forced out of her clothes down to a white bra and half slip from
a green dress (i think). Then the thug pulls the slip down to reveal a
pair of white nylon bikini panties. Way hot! Better than explicit porn anyday!

I remeber seeing a movie called Mischief. about teens back in the 50's.
One particular scene I recall, is when the girl snunk the guy into room
when the parent where away. the parents arrived home early while the
two were stripping, and so the young lad had to make an escape w/ his pants
falling off of him out a 2nd story bedroom window. It was a good movie.

magazine. In a few of the scenes she was wearing a red full slip with lots
of lace on the bodice and wide lace at the hem. She looked really hot!
Reminded me of the 'Pin UP" glamour of by gone eras.
