Curious,
In previous post I state that I feel the first two sections of the
Avatar course have some value to them.
In these sections you will find such things as goal setting (easily
found in self help books) and exercises to develop focus and increase
the ability of where you place your attention.
These exercises are found in the free mini courses.
What I want others to be aware of is the "unworkability" of the
Creative Handling Procedure (CHP) and the process known as running
lists. These lists consist of affirmations such as "I do it". Again
the idea of repeating an affirmation over and over, or writing it
down, is found in many self help books. What you do on the Avatar
course is run these lists until you get a "pass" which is doing it for
days and days. That, along with another exercise called "Feel It's"
leads to a trance state or a highly suggestible state.
These exercises are found in Section 3 of the Avatar course which is
the most expensive.
In response to your question about how to get "someone" to see the
light about their involvement in Avatar; I wouldn't suggest doing an
intervention.
The best way is to ask questions about Avatar, be truly interested.
Ask what of value, what gains they have received from doing the
courses. Get them thinking about what they have lost. Slowly work
them back to "reality". Get them interested in some other activity in
which they are passionate about.
There are many, many Masters and Wizards that have spent years doing
the courses and have left behind. And there are a few who continue to
believe that Avatar is the "real" deal. I hope your friend isn't in
that group.
