H.P. acts like everything on the lecture explaining everything is from his research. I challenge you to find one thing you didn't already know 30 years ago in Scientology.

I doubt that Wayne will or can publicly admit to the similiarities
between Scientology and Avatar.

Privately he would tell me how this or that in Avatar, was directly
linked to Scientology.

It was amazing, in all the years of talking to Wayne he would refer to
Scientology and not Avatar. He did say the main difference between
the two was that Scientology focused on processing whereas Avatar
focused on creating.

Never found the creation tech to be very effective.............

Wayne's correct on that point. Scientology did start out making creation the main intention, but changed along the way. One can speculate why Hubbard changed
to 'negative gain', but the facts are you can get someone to spend 20 30 40 years, to try to mentally change if they think it leads to a higher state. Palmer's theory is everything is a belief ,physical
universe included, and discreation is a snap with the
CHP. The problem for Harry then is to show results, which he never has done. Avatar is an itsy bitsy teeny weeny piece of human "creation", that never got much in human consciousness, much less create an "ENLIGHTENED PLANETARY CIVILIZATION.

If I had one message to get out about Avatar is the CHP isn't
discreating anything. It's a disassociative technique that leads to a
trance state. What did Eldon call the Avatar course? Hypnofest?
That's pretty accurate, one big trance state high!

I spent a number of years living on boats on the oceans. Days at sea
tend toward extremes of extraordinary indolence and beauty or days of
violence and terror, but I find that as I head toward my own final
sunsets that certain of those days, good and bad equally, are held
with the most warm fondness.

One afternoon several decades ago, I and several good friends were
piddling around a tropical archipelago and happened upon a comely and
irresistable small channel that bisected a tiny uninhabited island
somewhat removed from the main channels. Beautiful, yes it was and I'm
sure still is, with a white sandy bottom under a pastel sea leading to
it, and a bower of verdant tropical trees leaning inwards over the
channel. It really had a lure not unlike that of the Adventureland
Cruise that you might have taken at any of those Disney resorts, just
cool and moist and fragrant but with an air of mystery too. As I
said: irresistable. So though our 60 footer looked like a bit too
much boat I felt we could sqeak her through on the rising tide.

As boys misusing beer are wont to do just prior to the revelation of
major error, it was "once more into the breech" and "let's do it".
And cries of Yo ho, yo ho, and so forth, and you foolish boys know
what I'm talkin' about, right?

What we did not know is that this island had previously belonged to a
laboratory that employed monkeys for medical testing and they had
abandoned a number of them on this isle. Here they had frenetically
bred themselves (I'm referring to the monkeys here) into a badly
overpoulated situation until they had consumed all of the available
food on the island and were in desperate straits, so to speak.

Well, we didn't know that but it didn't take long to discover the
essentials because as we entered the small channel (and there was no
chance of backing out against the tide) hundreds of these guys,
perhaps as tall as your waist but stronger than a man and teeth long
as a tiger's, came scrambling up those formerly inviting trees and
jibbering at us noisily and vigorously, throwing whatever they could
grab and some of it was pretty noxious and some surprisingly solid,
What had been a lazy day instantly turned into "repel boarders" and we
beat them back with clubs and boat poles at no small peril to
ourselves. However, the joy of the struggle was somewhat tempered as
their starvation was evident and although some were aggressively
crazed, others were pleading, hand outstretched, for any morsel we
might surrender.

You'll see where I'm going here and perhaps see why reading the prior
posts of you worthies remind me of this incident.

Anyway, we got through the passage safely but the whole goddamned
incident had been so embarrassing that we anchored just offshore and
instantly happed upon Monkey Fishing.

You use a good sharp number six shark grappling hook and hide it in a
banana or melon (and when we went though those we found loaves of
bread or just about anything shiny worked just as well), on the best
heavy game fishing tackle, and cast the bait well up onto the beach.
Pretty soon their appetites would render them unable to resist and one
or another would approach the bait. Although they were clever enough
not to swallow it, they couldn't resist poking at it so when they'd
get in the right position you'd give the short rod a hellacious tug
and grapple whatever body part was available, setting that hook hard.
Then it was a matter of man against monkey to get them pulled off the
beach where they were very sporty fighters (unless they happened to be
hooked unfavoravorably or disablingly) , but as soon as they hit the
water it was all over as monkeys are not very strong swimmers and
particularly not when seperated from their group. Once the poor guy
guy was splashing around helplessly we'd turn the rod and reel over to
the kids so they could have some fun, and they'd haul them close to
the boat where they'd club them and enjoy the whole thing immensely
(the kids, I mean, not the monkeys, who didn't look so scary anymore
but more like a drowned mop that squaks).

You had to cuff the kids a few times to get them away from the monks
before they hurt them too badly or before they pulled one of the
damned things aboard (as who the hell wants a smelly monkey in your
boat?) It was just a really fun time but we aren't cruel, you know,
so we practiced catch-and-release and we'd cut the line (after
relieving the bastards of the ill-gotten and poorly-deserved bait) and
laughingly watch the gurglings as they tried that swim back to safer
ground.

I'll bet that wretched and barren isle looked a hell of a lot better
than it had for them when they were up in the trees throwing shit at
us, huh?

Anyway, as we enter this special season, I'm mindful of you guys, and
I remain in the best of good cheer.

I'm thinking that I might live another 500 years.

do.

You never quite got honest enough with yourself to see what a twisted
SOB you really are. I have faith that in the end you will get yours,
maybe some of your current misfortune is the result of your less than
good intentions.

Cruel? Well, what the hell ! It's not like we waterboarded the
hairy
little bastards or anything like that !!

What with the spitting and hard-ass looks they were giving us, I
think
we were practically saintly. Come on now, honestly, don't you think
so too?

The more I recall this, the more I want a do-over. Maybe I could
organise Monkey Fishing party cruises or something, make a few bucks
and have some fun. That's got to beat taffy pulling in Myrtle Beach
or whatever the hell you do for recreation.

Play your cards right and I promise next time I toss a grapple up on
the beach, you'll be there for sure.

Now knock off that ugly stuff and give me a big smiley face. I don't
want to have to bag you. LOL !

Wayne,

I seem to recall you sharing about killing small furry creatures with
your bare hands. Somehow you thought that was the saintly thing to do
too.

As far as the "spiritual" experiences of Avatar, I recognize them now
for what they were; just trances induced by mental processing.
Trances induced much like the ancient means of drumming, chanting and
rhythmic group dancing. As Harry said in his article "Seeds", he
developed Avatar so people wouldn't have to use toxic drugs to
experience these brain chemical induced states.

Whatever means you use, altering brain chemicals to induce trance
states are just that, trances. Not some holy experience.

The monk who said, "Avatar is like a near death experience, without
the fuss of dieing" was so very WRONG.

The concept of "Monkey Fishing" is from an infamous article in Slate
magazine, an article later found to be a hoax by the author.

Unlike the author, I've actually been to that island and down that
narrow channel, and have been chided by the monkeys. The channel is
wide enough that they can't reach you but they sure like to chitter
loudly at passers-by, and so do you guys here on this board. You have
no idea how many times over the years that I've read this board and
thought of those very noisy, very hungry, island-bound monkeys.

The parellels tickle me, and when I read the leg-pulling Slate article
about monkey-fishing, that too seemed very fitting to the continuing
game here.

You guys are such pushovers. You don't even require bait.

Excuse me.

Are you claiming the story about the monkeys wasn't yours?

How very typical of you. So was the story about killing rabbits with
your bare hands not true also?

And how about some of those other exaggerations? Like being a multi-
millionaire? Or some of those pyschic abilities you claimed to have?

Yes Wayne I was a pushover. You used, and abused. I am so happy you
showed up in my life, you taught me a valuable lesson about honesty
and trust.

I feel so very sorry for those you call your friends.

At least my friends survived this board, and prosper. Your friends
could not have done worse if they had chosen a serial poisoner for an
ally.

You, "Grace", have the gift of complete oblivion. By your own
admission and amid some gleeful gloating, you announced that
you had pretended to be a friend for many years in order to cause
mayhem. Do you really now believe that you could convince
anyone that your issues with dishonesty and
distrust are anything other than projection?

Oblivious.

In some parts of the world back-stabbers, traitors, and common
gossips
are taken to the soccer field, buried to the neck, and stoned to
death.

Though I have been a lifelong shameless right-wing reactionary, the
happy thought of a richly deserved stoning tempts me to vote sharia.

Excuse me....

Exactly where did I make such a statement?

I had your back Jack, until your rabid attack on me. You let down
your grande persona just long enough for me to see the true you. I'll

I don't know why it is but it seems "the enlightened" somehow feel
they are above apologizing and making amends for their harmful acts.

Even though Avatar has the "Transgression" rundown. I suppose it
starts at the top. The harm that some people have encountered by
doing the course, has Harry accepted any responsibility?

Or is it all "their" fault?

As I approach the New Year, as new adventures are showing up in my
life, in reflection my feelings about Avatar and the exploration of
consciousness is, "what a waste of time and money."

Making amends? Oh, there's personal responsibility, of course. But
where that is insufficient and a person commits an offense so heinous
to be without an adequate remedy under international law, the Big
Kahuna makes him be "Grace's" friend for a few years.

If there are, as you say in your post, "adventures" showing up in your
life, they probably involve attacking someone who you don't think fits
your stereotype of who you think they should be. Tell me if get this
right, OK? One of your masters was too gay, and one was influencing
your vagina telepathically, and another................ Oh wait a
minute! Skip all that! There's ME! The Evil One!

You can see the inherent horror of humanity now, can't you? The
problem is that it's just too goddamnded awful not to be "Grace".

Wayne,

At one point in time I had to agree with those who had come up with
the theory that you were trying to undermine Harry and Avatar.

I mean, didn't you realize that you were trying to set up an Avatar
Center based on how a Scientology Mission ran? I mean were you really
surprised when Avra wasn't for it? When the other San Diego Masters
wanted nothing to do with it?

Where did you come up with those judgements I had on Masters? Weren't
you the one who commented about the gays and lesbians involved in
Avatar? Weren't you the one saying he could telepathically
communicate with the entities of hurricanes? Eeegads, some of the
stories you led me to believe were true. How gullible I was.

As far as you being a Master; I didn't think you ever got a full
license. The great Wayne McMahon, couldn't get a pass from Avra.

Imagine that, not good enough to be an Avatar Master.....
