I'd love to hear the rational argument for using anesthesia for neonatal
circumcisions, but only half the time in the US. How could such an advanced
medical tradition continue such an egregious and glaring inconsistency.

people recognize something obvious but everyone pretends it's not there we
say it's like pretending you don't see an 800 pound gorilla in the room.
Sometimes the gorilla can weigh more or less but 800 pounds seems to be
optimal. Also there is some species variation with elephant being second
most popular.
