Leonardo Da Vinci, the noted Italian artist painted the Last Supper.
It took seven years for him to complete it. The figures representing the
twelve Apostles and Christ himself were painted from living persons. The
life-model for the painting of the figure of Jesus was chosen first.
When it was decided that Da Vinci would paint this great picture,
hundreds and hundreds of young men were carefully viewed in an endeavor to
find a face and personality exhibiting innocence and beauty, free from the
scars and signs of dissipation caused by sin.
Finally, after weeks of laborious search, a young man nineteen years
of age was selected as a model for the portrayal of Christ. For six months
Da Vinci worked on the production of this leading character of his famous
painting. During the next six years Da Vinci continued his labors on this
sublime work of art. One by one fitting persons were chosen to represent
each of the eleven Apostles -- with space being left for the painting of the
figure representing Judas Iscariot as the final task of this masterpiece.
This was the Apostle, you remember, who betrayed his Lord for thirty
pieces of silver. For weeks Da Vinci searched for a man with a hard, callous
face, with a countenance marked by scars of avarice, deceit, hypocrisy, and
crime. A face that would delineate a character who would betray his best
friend.
After many discouraging experiences in searching for the type of
person required to represent Judas, word came to Da Vinci that a man whose
appearance fully met his requirements had been found in a dungeon in Rome,
sentenced to die for a life of crime and murder. Da Vinci made the trip to
Rome at once, and this man was brought out from his imprisonment in the
dungeon and led out into the light of the sun. There Da Vinci saw before him
a dark, swarthy man his long shaggy and unkempt hair sprawled over his face,
which betrayed a character of viciousness and complete ruin. At last the
famous painter had found the person he wanted to represent the character of
Judas in his painting. By special permission from the king, this prisoner
was carried to Milan where the picture was being painted. For months he sat
before Da Vinci at appointed hours each day as the gifted artist diligently
continued his task of transmitting, to his painting, this base character
representing the traitor and betrayer of our Savior.
As he finished his last stroke, he turned to the guards and said, I
have finished. You may take the prisoner away. As the guards were leading
their prisoner away, he suddenly broke loose from their control and rushed
up to Da Vinci, crying as he did so, "Da Vinci, look at me. Do you not know
who I am?" Da Vinci, with the trained eyes of a great character student,
carefully scrutinized the man upon whose face he had constantly gazed for
six months and replied, "No, I have never seen you in my life until you were
brought before me out of the dungeon in Rome."
Then, lifting his eyes toward heaven, the prisoner said, "Oh God, have
I fallen so low?" Then turning his face to the painter he cried, "Leonardo
Da Vinci, look at me again for I am the same man you painted just seven
years ago as the figure of Christ."

Urban Myth :)

Below is a quote from the above URL
This tale is simply a Christian religious allegory warning of the
inner spiritual decay (as exemplified by an outer physical decay) that
awaits those who spurn Jesus Christ. As with many other examples of
glurge, the writer has housed his message within a historical
framework to lend it additional impact, thereby achieving exactly the
opposite of what he intended: readers now focus on the literal truth
of the allegory's details rather than its message.

"If the world is against Athanasius then Athanasius is against the world." St Athanasius.
There has been no formal apology from you. Therefore I will be undertaking
an articulation of the complaint of religious vilification and
Constitutional incorporeal treason and seeking legal advice with the view of
obtaining restitution for your actions.
As you can see from this URL <
http://www.users.bigpond.net.au/telos/legal.html >, that the argument is
substantiation of my claim to religious belief, and the asperion that the
motive for your impugnity is that your claim to religious belief as
Christianity is in effect incorporeal treason against my Autonomous
Australian Constitutional Rights.
Once again I wish to thank-you for previously acknowledging my request.
However, your response to date have not been adequate as an 'unreserved
apology'. It will need to at least be on official church letterhead and
signed by HG Bishop Daniel, Coptic Orthodox Bishop of Sydney and Affiliated
Regions.
I note you have only made further rationalisations and self justifications
within the relevant discussion thread where your slanderous
characterisations occurred.
In your previous response you have further sought to justify your actions,
as the commenting on legal proceedings for which there exists a media
neutral status and of other matters which are presently under investigation
by the Victorian Ombudsman--indeed I just prior to your conveyance of
information pertaining to such complaint, returned from their offices having
within the hour clarified information with respect to said complaint.
The actions by other office holders of the Skeptics Society Inc which you
have also quoted as URL links and for which on the 19 January 2005,
information was sought from the NSW Registry of Co-operatives &
Associations, isn't justification for your further
mischaracterisations--nevertheless your continued attempts at impugnity are
noted.
It is my hope that in the absence of an unreserved apology for your past
unprovoked slander made at 16 Jan 2005 09:22:47 in discussion thread Roger
Pearse's feigned piety, that you would at least refrain from further
discourse concerning religious matters on the Internet until the claim of
religious vilification pursuant to Section 8 of Victoria's (Australia)
Racial and Religious Tolerance Act 2001 Act No. 47/2001 is determined
against you and the Egyptian Coptic Church.
I encourage you to make your apology as retraction of your remarks as false
characterisations within the relevant discussion thread before Australia Day
26 January, 2005 following which a complaint of Relgious Vilification
pursuant to the aforementioned act will be undertaken against you and the
religious community you represent.
As a continued reminder of my displeasure at your false characterisations as
slander, I will be tagging each of your newsgroup correspondences between
now and midnight on the 26 January 2005.
