I recently read that good and bad things came out of the Toronto
Blessing. To be honest I really did not know much about it. All I
knew that it was a revival of some sorts within the
charismatic/pentecostal movement. I read an article at this website
http://www.agape.com/dle2.htm and it talked about some of the
manifestations that occured in Toronto back in 1994. My comments are
below the list of manifestations.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
MANIFESTATIONS REPORTED IN LAUGHTER MEETINGS

1 Laughing, Crying, Shaking, Running around the building (Can you
imagine Moses running around Mount Sinai after an encounter with God),
Fast dancing, running, etc, followed by collapse (....Some of the
things people did with their bodies is amazing), Barking-howling,
Trances, Drunkenness, Falling Out, Oinking (this sure sounds strange
to me!!!), Being "Hot", Fanning self or blowing, etc......

Is there anyone reading this that can verify that any of this actually
happened? This is arguably the most disturbing piece of Christian
article I've read in quite some time, if this is true. Is this what
has become of pentecostals these days? Talk about denying the Gospel
in favor of a new "revelation". What spirit have these people
received if they are walking around like chickens and hooting like
owls? What god are they worshipping if in fact people were hissing
like snakes and pretending to have imaginary birth pangs?

There has to be more than this. Did anything good come out of it?
I've read in the newsgroups recently that some people accepted Jesus
at this revival. That certainly is a good thing, but what about the
rest? The Holy Spirit never manifested himself in this way in the
scriptures.

Uhoh! bad bad bad.. You ask embarassing questions.

The charismatics were hoping this faded from view. However, you will find
them come to the defense of this wackiness of you ask. Just remember, as the
expanse of time is put between the events of Toronto, Brownsville and other
places (generally associated with Vineyard and A/G churches), more effort
will be made to accuse the one who remembers things, as they were. The heat
has been off for a while, as the whole thing is generally regarded to have
crashed and burned.

These articles that you are reading have been around for a long while, and
havent changed - though the memory of the activity HAS changed, since many
were probably hoping for time to take off the rough edges.

Go ahead see with your own eyes, look at these scandalous videos:
captured in Pentecostal and Charismatic Churches:

http://www.bible.ca/tongues-audio-video-documentation.htm

The book of Job is very ancient, however it is
depicting actual events with amazing accuracy as if
it was written during the days of infamy we are now
living in the Churches. There are Christians who came
out of the Churches of the anointing of abomination
and are now witnessing with the verse Job:1:16,
''The fire of God is fallen from heaven, and hath
burned up the sheep, and the servants, and consumed
them''. These believers are so scandalized by what
they have seen, with dedication they are warning other
believers to stay away from these wild spiritual
manifestations and false signs. These grievous events
were also foretold by the book of Revelation in these
words: ''And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh
fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of
men, And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the
means of those miracles''. Day after day more
testimonials of Christians who have been exposed to the
anointing of Abomination are publicly presented to the
Christian Community. The great wind of spiritual
perdition blowing out of the wilderness as described
in Job 1: 18 is surely destroying whole congregations.
Yet inscribed through out the book of Job there are
more striking details about the curse plaguing the
Churches. Surprisingly all the torments experienced by
the believers who came out of the bewitched Sanctuaries
are described in the book of Job with ample details.

Job 4:13: In thoughts from the visions of the night,
when deep sleep falleth on men,
14: Fear came upon me, and trembling, which made all
my bones to shake.
15: Then a spirit passed before my face; the hair of
my flesh stood up:
16: It stood still, but I could not discern the form
thereof: an image was before mine eyes.

All the Christians who left the Congregations of
wonders confessed to have terrible nightmares since
the first day they received the evil anointing. In
spite of all these testimonials that can be found on
the web sites of discerning ministries, uninformed
Christians are still flocking the deceptive Churches
to receive the anointing of torment. While this
warning is also on the Christian newsgroups and
forums, multitudes of believers who do not have
access to this information, are still getting
slain by the spirits of terror.

Job:6:4: For the arrows of the Almighty are within
me, the poison whereof drinketh up my spirit: the
terrors of God do set themselves in array against
me.

Like Job, many brothers and sisters in Christ are
tormented by terrifying nightly visions and are
oppressed by unclean spirits since they attended to
evil revivals. For over five years I have been
researching the dangerous manifestations of the
Pentecostal and Charismatic Churches. I have been
in contact with many Christians who are severely
tormented by this anointing. Some believers seeking
a relief from these torments have tried all sorts
of medications without success. With sadness I recall
the words of one particular believer who explained
to me how she underwent a psychiatric treatment in
a clinic in her quest of a cure for this spiritual
curse. The unfortunate believers after receiving this
anointing are equally assaulted in the spiritual and
physical realms. I have personally observed some
weird manifestations in these ''anointed'' Churches.
Several times I have seen believers violently flapping
their hands like bird wings in a cacophonous amalgam
of bestial noises and surreal clamors. I have seen a
video of a woman who explained how the spirits she
received from her Church pulled her upward higher
and higher, forcing her to stand on the tip of her
toes until exhaustion occurred. Generally manifesting
in wild convulsions and strange utterances these
spirits are dangerously and violently projecting
believers to the floor of the Ministries of
unrighteousness. Yet this is nothing compare to
what many unfortunate Christians have been enduring
years after years. Some have been constantly hearing
voices and blasphemous songs, others are haunted by
evil and persistent thoughts. There are reports of
anointed subjects waking up from their agitated sleep
not feeling their limbs already controlled by
unrelenting entities. While the terrified subjects
stretch to regain control of their members, this often
resulted in strained muscles and atrocious pain.

Job 30:15: Terrors are turned upon me: they pursue my
soul as the wind: and my welfare passeth away as a
cloud.
16: And now my soul is poured out upon me; the days of
affliction have taken hold upon me.
17: My bones are pierced in me in the night season:
and my sinews take no rest.

Day or night the anointed subjects experience strange
wobbling of small areas of their flesh. Others in worse
conditions experience from time to time involuntary
motions of their limbs. There is one common detail found
in all these testimonials of anointed possessions, the
belly is described as the center of these unwanted
manifestations. Suffering believers have also explained
how at night the evil energy flows from this focal point
to invade their whole body. Even while praying on their
knees spiritual entities slowly start agitating in their
belly to finally shake the body of these tormented
believers. So far no matter what they do, even praying
and fasting do not stop these cruel spiritual forces to
emanate from their bowels.

Job 30:27: My bowels boiled, and rested not: the days of
affliction prevented me.
28: I went mourning without the sun: I stood up, and I
cried in the congregation.
29: I am a brother to dragons, and a companion to owls.
30: My skin is black upon me, and my bones are burned
with heat.

Song:1:6: Look not upon me, because I am black, because
the sun hath looked upon me: my mother's children were
angry with me; THEY MADE ME THE KEEPER OF THE
VINEYARDS; BUT MINE OWN VINEYARD HAVE I
NOT KEPT.

Among all their nocturnal nightmares, the tormented
believers also have recurring visions of their skin
covered with parasites, deformed with inflammation and
dermatology diseases. In spite of al these troubling
reports, Christians in great numbers are still duped and
are receiving this anointing of torment as the holy Spirit
of God. The courageous Christians who came forward, have
publicly denounced the sorcery of famous ministers still
considered by many as men of God. I strongly encourage my
readers to visit the web pages of the Christian Ministries
exposing this demonic anointing to access a compilation of
incriminating audio and video files. With the guidance of
the Lord several Pastors believed these testimonials of
spiritual torment and are presently exhorting their
congregations to stay away from the worship of the spirits
of laughter and lying wonders. Unfortunately too many
Church leaders are remaining silent to the numerous cries
of these Christians intoxicated by the spiritual venom.
Without apprehension, in all confidence multitudes of
uninformed Christians are rushing to the evil assemblies
and are receiving this noisome and grievous sore upon
themselves.

Rv:16:2: And the first went, and poured out his vial
upon the earth; and there fell a noisome and grievous
sore upon the men which had the mark of the beast, and
upon them which worshipped his image.

Job 2:7: So went Satan forth from the presence of the
LORD, and smote Job with sore boils from the sole of
his foot unto his crown.

I am sadden by the amount of fellow Christians who are
getting deceived and are misguided into captivity by
the spurious doctrines and false signs of the celebrants
of evil. In this alarming situation we need to humble
ourselves with prayers, fasting and repentance. We need
to remember how Job, the symbol of the end time
tribulation of the Church, took the sackcloth and sat
down among the ashes. Discerning readers should always
have in mind the great number of Christians who will
continue to remain enslaved by the anointing of
deception, and they should also pray for those who have
no understanding of this devastating affliction. May the
Lord soon send true prophets to deliver His people from
captivity.

Job:42:10: And the LORD turned the CAPTIVITY of Job,
when he prayed for his friends: also the LORD gave Job twice
as much as he had before.

Serious Question

You said "The heat has been off for a while, as the whole thing is generally

Earth. One does not hear much about this anymore, but anyone who has memory
of over a few years remembers the embarassment associated with this stuff,
with the Wimber denunciation, and all the confusion in the A/G and the
Vinyard over what to make of it.

There is great, GENUINE revivial going on around the world. These other
things pass.

Why are you yelling? How do you know the people that wrote the
article were not there? My questions that you snipped were to those
that were actually there. Why did you feel a need to reply if my
questions didn't apply to you? I've heard Benny Hinn and other people
in his congregations make animal noises and curse people in the Name
of Jesus Christ on TV. It's all part of the show, right?

Here's a story from a person that was actually there. It makes for an
interesting read:

Wow! This is so cool! I saw the web site and showed a couple of
friends. I really liked your "red flashing lights" because that's what
I felt exactly - like WHOA!! This is some dangerous spirit here stuff.
I really hope that people will be able to see what conquers this
manifestation. Some part of me wants to go back into the church I came
out of and just start speaking the blood of Jesus over everyone
manifesting, BUT I have a feeling they'd throw me out!

One night I was there and they had a guest speaker named Curtis Hinds
from Toronto Airport. Before the service started a group of people got
in a circle in the next room over from the cafe and started
"conjuring" up these manifestations. They were so determined that they
wouldn't stop until everyone was "filled". They were howling like
wolves for 25 minutes. I was manning the cafe so I stayed there. They
were so loud that it was making my flesh crawl. I didn't go back for
any more of the night services and so Chris, my husband, had to
tolerate it for the next two nights.

One family came one Sunday morning to visit our church and brought
their little boy. Some people started howling during the praise time
and the boy got terrified. So the family left immediately and the
pastor got word of this. He wrote in his next bulletin the following
Sunday about the incident, but said that "God does things in a messy
way and sometimes there's a cost."!!! I was floored! To put this
little boy's first experiences of church and Christianity in jeopardy,
and then just make this lame excuse!

My determination is to alert unknowing Christians about what's
happening here and around the whole world. I never knew that the web
would now become the catalyst and that others will link this
testimony, too. Thanks so much for your concern and for passing this
testimony on about the power of our Lord's blood over this
counterfeit.

Churches or movements that practice this sort of "worship" usually
have very little teaching. They appeal to the new generation of lazy
Christians, who do not want to pray outside of church, visit the sick,
etc. They just want to go to "have a good time" with the worship.
The problem with these "milk fed" Christians is that they never
receive any "meat". Actually, it resembles the Corinthian church,
with the mis-use of the Gift of Tongues.

What I find more amazing is that there are people stupid enough to
believe that they need to VISIT these places to "bring revival back to
our church". If God can produce a revival in Toronto, is He not
capable of producing one in your home church? The bottom line of the
Toronto and Brownsville movements was about MONEY -- selling books,
tapes, music, etc.

Gimmicks, Gimmicks, Gimmicks...........that is what they are using to fill
their pockets.

Our Christ does not approve of these gimmicks to thrill the crowds. If
the Word does not thrill a person, they have something missing in their
experience with the Master....................

There is nothing more Powerful and exciting that to know the fact that our
Lord Rose from the Dead!!!!!!!!!!!!!

wow tbc thanks for the links -- i have really been away from atlanta
for about 10 years -- and wondered how bloodnfire was doing -- every
kind of church within miles and miles takes part in joining with
bloodnfire to do so much ministry in urban atlanta -- it is really
one of the most powerful ministries i have ever known.

also, the scp link was cool - i used to get their publication -- they
have the best writers and do such a needed work.

thanks for hooking me up.

oh and you might want to add another stream that flows -- more from
the vineyard front -- but that is servant evangelism -- sjogren in
cinnci began that amazing style of missions that had spread all across
denominational and ideological lines.

peace and thanks,
pablo

Thanks,

The African evangelist that was preaching in a town north of here for the
last three weeks started meetings here in my hometown last night. Pastors
from six or more churches were in attendance and the meeting was great. I'm
hoping to go again tonight.
Peace and love from southern Ohio

yeah, that sounds great -- i'm off to an evangelism conference --
should be there tonight but snow and sleet delayed my travel.

i read an article about the anglican church having to deal with the
growth of the the african church -- which is booming -- and the
article concluded that africa may be the center of christianity for
the next generations to come -- i think loren cunningham has a book on
the matter as well -- saw him on benny hinn and he was talking about a
view that china and some african nations are growing in great revival
of salvation. i think he saw china coming to christian prominence. i
welcome it. too long has our faith seemed to be the "white man's"
religion.

p.s. one of my teachers along the way was an arnold schwartzenager
look a like from rhodesia.

who's the speaker -- the fasting teacher? he inspires me to no end
but his name escapes me. last i heard he was making a trip through
the states.

much love,
pablo

Yes, the Anglican Church has been a source of revival. The fire spread from
Toronto to England and took root in the Anglican Church. Pray for Africa
because the need is great. The Lord spoke a prophetic word thru me to a team
of ministers going to Africa a couple years ago. The pastor's wife of
Brownsville AoG, Brenda Kirkpatrick was in the group and because she later
wanted to thank me, I was able to meet this kind and gracious woman of God.

I only know of Loren Cunninham from Keith Green's biography, "No Compromise"
.

I had a friend who traveled to China with Nora Lamb and became friends with
her over the years. Truly the gospel is flooding the nations of the world
but in the first chapter of act the word used for nation means ethnic group.
In the months ahead we will see some interesting development in both nations
of the world and in our own ethnic groups right here in America.

I was raised as a Zionist.

Love and peace be multiplied to you,

Yes...this all did happen and I saw it coming and warned many...seeming to no avail, in my fairly exhaustive research. I conclude, "it was 'the spirit of the false prophet foretold in latter chapters of Revelation, and because of the idolatry of 'manifestations' (which are real in a discerning church), they got false manifestations, simply it was divine judgement'!
