The body of Christ is a far-reaching body. It encompasses many
congregations around the world and even reaches into some places where you
might not expect it. It is represented even in assemblies that might appear
dead -- placed there for just the right occasions to fan the flames to life.
I can go to strange cities and find brothers and sisters with whom I
immediately connect. I can break down in the middle of some valley of the
shadow of death, and along will come a member of the body of Christ to lift
me up and set me back on my feet (or even deliver a litre or two of gasoline
because I wasn't watching the guage!).
The body of Christ is everywhere. It would be hard to contain it in a
particular assembly or a certain building or even a particular denomination.
It is composed of living blocks, and together they form a living temple in
which the Spirit of God dwells.
Remember, you are not included or excluded from the body of Christ depending
upon which assembly you do or don't attend. You are part of the body of
Christ if you are filled with His Spirit and have dedicated your very life
to servicing the Kingdom of God, which is now with us.

Our pastor retired due to illness and since the new pastor
came we have gained 17 people, 8 of them by baptisim. But pray
for our church's spiritual growth and that we (individually and
collectivily) might be a light in our community.
