Dear Friends,

On behalf of The New York Times Ad Global fund-raising committee, I am very happy to
announce the greatest news we ever had since our campaign started.

(1) Under the arrangement of Zhiyu Wu of Columbia University, Gerry Li and
Zhijun Chen of American Chinese Society of Science and Technology at New
York, the New York Times fund-raising committee as well Ying Huang and Kan
Fang of Columbia CSSA, Xiaolei Xu of Association of Chinese Students and
Scholars in the City of New York (ACSSNY), and Shengkan Jin of Cornell
Medical School CSSA had a conference with the Chinese community leaders in
NYC in Thursday evening (8/15). Mr. WONG KAI SHING, the president, and
Mr. C.H. Hua , the secretary-general pleaged

(2) On behalf of New York Times Ad global fund-raising Campaign Committee,
I wish to express our most sincere gratitude to the leaders in the Chinese
community in NYC for the greatest supports we have ever received.

Mr. Wong Kai Shing, Mr. Lin Yi He, Mr. Low Poh Ha, Mr. Lu Dun Song, Mr.
Chen Jin Tang, Mr. Huang Ke Qiang, Mr. Wang Chun Sheng, Mr. C.H.Hua, Mr.

And I especially thank Zhiyu Wu of Columbia University for inviting me and
making arrangement for me for the media interviews and conference with
the Chinese community in NYC.

(4) We have made greatest success for our fund-raising by reaching out and
going back to our roots. To win our final victory, we are going to make
another successful story in other cities. We will contact Chicage area,
Houston, DC, LA or other cites to arrange the same knid of Chinese
TV-interview coverage and conference with the Chinese community. If you
have these kind of connections, please contact with me as soon as
possible.

(5) Since the first call for donation for NY Times Ad was sent out
gloablly on August 7th, we have raised $20,502,05 as of 5 AM EST on Friday
(8/16) on our Donation list which doesnt include donation sent directly to
Berkeley. The orginal fund $10,202 (the beginning number for our
automatic counting machine on our Donation Webpage) was solely raised by
Kai Chen's committee in UC-Berkeley and paid to the expenses of World
Journal full-page Ad and Washington Post Ad (total around $12,000). On our
webpage, as of 5 AM EST on Friday (8/16), the grand total PLEAGED but not
received is $30,502.05 shown on the screen, including the funds raised by
Kai Chen's committee and by New York Times ad fund-raising campaign
committee. Therefore, we are going to make a fianl move to raise another
$10,000 to reach our goal of $30,000 to publish a full-page ad on the New
York Times.
