A: All you have to do is to register at BePaid.com, download a small

Q: How can advertisers pay users more than $20/hour?
A: The average cost of banners today is $34/hour for 1000 impressions
(the banner comes up 1000 times). The average click through rate of
users is only around 0.8% which means that the advertiser is paying over
$4 for every visit. BePaid.com is therefore in direct competition with
banner advertisements because advertisers can show users "full screen
ads" with all they have to offer and additionally get a very high visit
rate through the use of the "Golden Link" (users get an extra payment

Q: When will the AdVision be released?
A: The updated version of the AdVision software will be distributed in
connection with our launch in the US. The tentative date is set for
February 2000. We are planning the launch with our PR agency and
renovating an office in NYC amongst numerous issues that are to be
finalized prior to the launch. We remind you that all BePaid members
will be notified by e-mail including instructions associated with the
downloading procedures of the AdVision when we start re-distributing it.
Q: When do I get paid?
A: You get paid each month when your account exceeds $20. Your check
will be sent to you by mail. If your compensation was under $20, it will
be transferred to the next month and added to your total.
Q: Do I have to be browsing the Internet to receive ads?
A: No, you don't have to surf the Internet to receive ads. As long as
you are
connected, you can receive advertisements!
Q: How do the advertisements appear?
A: When you are connected to the Internet and an ad is waiting for you,
the AdVision Control will appear on the right hand corner of your
screen. It shows you what company offers the advertisement and how much
they offer you for watching it. You can then decide if you accept the
offer or not. If you accept, the AdVision appears (800x600 pixels) on
your screen and the ad runs inside it.
If you do not want to see any advertisements, you can always choose "See
ad later" (20 minutes pause) or "no more ads" (12 hours pause). You do
not lose the advertisements when you choose one of these options. They
are only on hold until you have time to watch them.
Q: How much do I get paid?
A: The advertisements last normally for 5-30 seconds, that is while the
buttons on the AdVision are inactive. When they become active you can
click the "Close" button to turn off the AdVision or the "Visit" button
if you want to see the advertiser's homepage. During this time you will
be paid minimum $20 an hour which is a minimum limit enforced by
BePaid.com. This in fact means that the absolute minimum is 16 cents per
30 second pop-up. You can always refuse offers that you think are too
low. This way you will create a market where there is some minimum
amount required to get you to accept the advertisements. You might for
example decide to never accept ad offers where the offer is less than
$50 an hour.
If the Visit button is Golden ("Golden Link") you will get additional 10
cents for visiting the advertiser's site.
Q: How does the referral system work?
A: With the referral program, you can increase your earnings
considerably. You can get your friends and family to register with you
as their referrer. This way you will be paid a percentage of their
compensation for viewing advertisements. They can also refer BePaid to
their friends and family and you will also get a commission from their
earnings.
Q: Does the program work for the Macintosh?
A: No, not at the moment. Our goal is to have the Macintosh version
ready in September 2000.
Q: Can I expect to receive junk emails?
A: No, you will not receive any junk e-mail from us. Our privacy policy
is very strict and we do not sell, give or rent your personal
information to any third party. You can, however, expect to receive
emails from time to time from BePaid.com containing information about
our developments or special benefits available to you as a member of
BePaid.com.
Q: Can I change my personal information after I've registered?
A: Yes, you will be able to change all your information, except your
referrer. You can do this by entering "My account" where this is an
option. At the moment you can change your e-mail, home address, postal
code and city. In a few weeks you will be able to change the rest.
Q: What do I do if I want to stop receiving ads for good?
A: You can quit whenever you want by un-installing the program and
sending us an e-mail with your ID and password. You will suffer no costs
or penalties other then from what is left in your BePaid.com account.
Q: Can I use the program on more than one computer?
A: Yes you can! You can install the program on as many computers as you
like. Just be sure to install the program using the same ID number and
password on each computer so the credit will go to your account.
Q: Can I use other services similar to BePaid.com at the same time?
A: Yes. You can use other services if you want.
Q: What are the system requirements for the AdVision program?
A: You must be running:
1) Microsoft Windows 95.
2) Microsoft Windows 98.
3) Microsoft Windows 2000.
4) Microsoft Windows NT 4.0 (Service Pack 3 or later is required).
In addition you MUST have Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.01 (or later)
