O.K, so I don't really like chat rooms and stuff, but has anyone checked
this out and would care to offer a critique?

I've just ordered me free CD!

If it's the one I'm thinking of it's quite cool. Everybody's pretty friendly
and there's a good choice of avatars. You start off as a penguin (do I see
IaiaiaianF suddenly paying more attention?!) You might find you have to turn
the sound off though - the asteroid you start off on sounds bloody freezing,
if that makes any sense. I was also pleasantly surprised to discover that
there were a lot of ppl on from the UK, but then that's probably due to
timezones - the US would still be at work the time I went on.

I'm not a visitor there myself ATM because I'm still loading things back
onto my machine, but perhaps we could have a tete-a-tete sometime!

Yup!

Just had a quick play - must say, it seems pretty slow on my machine (PIII
450, 192MB, TNT2 M64) or is it a bandwidth thang?

Cool graphics, though. Can't wait for the CD which is sposed to have a load
of stuff. Nobody seemed to want to "voice chat", so dunno if it's crap or
what.

Later, Steely-Breezy-d00d!

Last time I played it it was on my old PC, a P100 with 96Mb RAM and a bog
standard 56k modem - and it ran OK, a little slow - most noticeable on
turning around and manouevring...

I'm justing trying it right now, actually (look out for a Knight chess piece
called steelbreeze) and it manoeuvres a lot better, and I'm online during
Freeserve's busy 6pm-9pm period too...

Can't remember exactly where, but you can order a CD.

Mine still hasn't arrived yet.
