Could someone email me the entire Honeycomb song? I've remembered bits and
pieces of it, but can't quite recall the whole thing. Thanks.

Here's what I remember:

"Come to the Honey-comb Hide-out,
Gonna eat and gonna play,
Havin' fun at the Honey-comb Hide-out,
What a way to start the day."

That's all I remember there being to the song.

Actually, there were lots of variant lyrics to the HC jingle, depending
upon different promotions, new junk inside the box, etc.

I have always wondered if the HC Hideout song was pirated from an AL Weber
melody from *Jesus Christ Superstar*. As you may remember, there is this
riff sung by the sick and poor to Jesus:

"See me [something] I can hardly see
See me stand I can hardly walk
I believe you can make me whole
Hear my tongue I can hardly walk...."

They are exactly the same melody and, I believe, that the rock opera
(remember rock operas!) came out a couple of years before the jingle.

An additional issue spinning off of the HC Hideout jingle is this: how
many cereal jingles have been written in a minor key? Can anyone think of
one besides this one?

(Quick, to the library, Robin!)

It's not small, no no no
Honeycomb's got a big big taste
Big big taste in a big big bite!

We hear the above song while kids on the tv screen are measuring
Honeycombs-and they're about an inch or so big.

As the Oscar Meyer Weiner kid said, "How's That?"

Um, if memory serves...and I'm not so sure it still does...I
think you're looking for the following:

Honeycomb's big
Big, big, big.
It's not small,
No, no, no.
Honeycomb's got
A big, big bite.
Big, big taste,
And a big, big bite.

That's about all I remember. I haven't had them in years. I love them,
but, man oh man, the aftermath frequently rivals Bhopal (sp?).

I must be really young er something, because the only Honey Comb
jingle I remember is the one that said

Honeycomb's big.....yeah yeah yeah!
It's not small.....no no no!!

and the commercial entailed some big wrestler guy busting into the
honeycomb hideout. I always thought it was quite retarded
