It was exactly 20 years ago, when the Berlin Wall, a wall of division
came down. I also remember it as the day that it was realized that
the philosophical definition of the concept 'half-truth' was in fact
incomplete and incorrect.
There are several new forms of half-truths, from the basic partly
true, to the more deceptive part of the truth.
I say this because on stiill today we find many half-truths dividing
our community, half-truths like "Stopping Violence against
women" (true however part of the truth) when the greater truth would
be to stop the abuse of women, men and children.
It was 20 years ago that this simple truth was communicated to the CBC
and as of today, they have not communicated this to Canadians. Why ?
A conflict of interest ?
The deceptive world of half-truths, while true, add to the divisions
and polarize the people and communities of this world.

(PS I suggest that this undetected dimension of half-truths is in
facst the logical error in reference to Truth an error that was
aquired when Adam and Eve took of from the Tree of Knowledge and
beleived, wrongly, that they would be like God to know The Truth. As
the philosopher, "Alfred Whitehead" stated back in the 1940's 'there
is no such thing as whole truths, treating them as so plays the
devil." )
