Next they'll demand everyone have 'chips' or 'watches'
that keep track of not only where you are, but your
intake of beer, dope, nic, cheeze-puffs, whatever or
not jogging enough or say un-PC things.

It'll all be justified by "health" and "safety". Soon
enough they'll even be able to tell if you're getting laid -
chem sensor tech is getting WAY advanced. "AI" systems
CAN watch all of the people all of the time ... Stasi
nirvana.

If They CAN use a tech to micro-manage your life then
they WILL. That's been the story. The other half of
the story is that nobody DOES anything about it ...
always figure it won't affect THEM. It's insidious,
new restrictions will show up slowly and surely and
there will be no ONE to blame. Complain and you'll
prove you're a "sociopath" and then .....

This all started with the original "Patriot Act" which has allowed the government to take away the
citizen's freedoms a little at a time.
And most people do not even realize how much freedom they have lost and continue to lose.

There is some point in doing such a thing on public roads.

On private roads, you can do what you like; you can (quite literally)
knock yourself out.
