Hi, I want to get a coverage map for the San Francisco Bay Area. The
calling plan maps don't show what their wireless coverage is.

Thanks in advance

there is a map of deadzones in the bayarea here (compiled by a local news
station)

Don't all of the big boys have coverage maps on their site?

Very nice info there. Granted this is just in CA, but im impressed with
how VZW did as a whole. Cingular topped the list with around 7 pages of
cities.. VZW had 1.5 I think.. Nextel had only one, but I would guess
because nextel isnt a strong force out there?

There is a lot of nextel out here. there are something like 14 million
folks in the greater bay area. It is appaling to me that even in the heart
of silicon valley Mt View/Palo Alto that cellular service is so bad in
spots.

The most pathetic thing about the list is that Cingular used to be Pacbell
wireless and was headquartered in the bay area and they couldn't even get
good coverage in their home market. How bad would it have sucked to work
for them and have your phone not work anywhere near your house?

Well, if this helps, Verizon has a solid digital signal from San Jose in the
south to Willits in the North, pretty darn good !

Your best bet for no-nonsense reviews and cellular information is to consult
http://www.sfbacell.com/ It's one of the best sites of its type on the
Internet.
