I understand that
10Dig...@vtext.com is the address to use to send a
short email as SMS message to a US-based Verizon cellular number, or even a
PagePlus one. I've tested that with a PagePlus recipient, and it works.
For MMS,
10Dig...@vzwpix.com has been suggested. With a PagePlus
recipient, that results in an automated non-delivery reply
: From: MMSC NDR Administrator <
sysa...@m04.vzwpix.com>
with "Subject: Undeliverable Message" saying:
: Message could not be delivered to mobile.
: Error: No valid recipients for this MM
How to avoid such failures?
Well,
10Dig...@mypixmessages.com was suggested. That goes through with a
PagePlus recipient; but, with a .jpg as media file, and a Moto Droid X2 as
recipient device, the transmitted .jpg is simply not displayed as a static
image file, but rather is "played" for 2 seconds, as if it were a short
video, and then hidden from view until "played" again.
How to ensure that the .jpg remains on view, and/or enters the phone's
Gallery?
Or is there some better email-to-MMS gateway to use after the @ mark when
emailing an MMS to a Verizon/PagePlus cellular user?
Thanks! Cheers, -- tlvp
