Move the transflash to your pc, copy ringtones from whatever source, 30
second sound bytes work well saved as mpg's.
Copy to transflash
Take to a non-service area [I use my sheilded comp room at home] and send
the sound file as an attachment to a message. It will fail but this has
moved it thru the verizon 'revenue enhancement security wall' and over to
the 'phone' side, it can now be saved as a ringtone or file, pick
ringtone..keep the file names short, I stick with 6 or 8 characters.
More involved, order the data to usb cable, tools and go to howard forums
for the step by step seem edit to turn the full bluetooth on, from then on
you can transfer directly and wirelessly.
You really don't have to go to a 'non service area', just put a non-existent
number in the message as the destination (555-555-5555 is what I usually
use). It'll fail as you say and the rest is easy..:-)

Unless they decide that hmmm, maybe we ought to charge for that 555
number... :-)
