Hi there. I've read in previous posts and elsewhere on the internet that
bluetooth is available on the Sony Ericsson T61c via additional hardware,
but I haven't yet heard any personal experiences. Has anyone here had any
bluetooth experiences with this phone?

Thanks,

Hi David,

I also tried the T61c on Verizon thinking it would have Bluetooth
support. I know that Phonescoop.com reports it to have optional
Bluetooth accessories but I scoured the web and also called Ericsson
Customer support to find out about this adapter and I was not able to
find anything. Even the Bluetooth adapter that fits the T61d (AT&T
phone) is not compatible with the T61c, according to Ericsson. I think
PhoneScoop has an error in their information.

As far as I can tel the ONLY Bluetooth phone for Verizon is the
former Timeport 270c. This has been discontinued with Verizon and from
what I read the Bluetooth stack was not implemented properly on the
device.

This message got bug up from a while ago. I've discovered some things since
then.

A couple of people have successfully used Sony-Ericsson's DBA-10 bluetooth
adapter with the T61c to provide a wireless internet connection on the
Express Network. (See some previous threads). Sony Ericsson does not support
the use of the devices together, though. There very well may be some
compatibility problem... so far, I haven't heard of anyone successfully
using the adapter to provide internet service via the standard QNC
connection. And I don't recall if anyone's used it with a bluetooth headset
yet.
