I had an interesting problem with Verizon last week. On the 29th, I
tried to pay my bill on line using my checking account information to
take advantage of an offer they had to credit either 100 bonus minutes
or $5 off your next bill. They stopped offering that, so I decided to
pay using my credit card into that they had already stored in their
system. At first it kept telling me that the info I entered was wrong,
then it let the account info go through but wanted to process the card
as a debit card.

Now this is not a credit card per se, but a Visa check card, that all
the rest of the industrialized world processes like a credit card, but
the money comes out of your checking account. In some stores, they ask
you if you wanted to process the transaction as a debit card and to
enter your pin. But then you can opt out of the debit transaction and
go right to the credit card transaction.

When I had used this card previously, it had never asked me to use the
card as a debit card. So I didn't know what was going on. When I
indicated that I did not want to process the transaction as a debit,
Verizon's computer system said it couldn't process the transaction. So
when I clicked off the box for processing as a debit transaction, it
went to a page that asked me to click off a "finish" box once I had read
certain terms and conditions. I did so, then Verizon booted me off line
and I had to re-login. When I tried to get in again and pay on line, it
wouldn't let me do it again either and I got an error message saying
that some company called paymentech wouldn't process a debit transaction
without a PIN (which Verizon didn't ask me for).

I went to my bank's on line system and found out that the bank had
transferred the money to Verizon. I called Verizon and was told to fax
them some docs from the bank showing that from the bank's position the
money had indeed been transferred to Verizon. I did so, then was told
it would take up to ten days for the matter to be investigated. But in
the mean time they wouldn't call me and bother me about paying them or
cut off my phone service.

When I got a call from Verizon's Financial Services asking me for money,
I told them that I had not yet heard from the about the investigation.
They claim that there investigation showed that the money never got to
them, and that Paymentech was at fault. But they could not explain why
I got booted off their system that one time, nor why my bank or
Payentech required a PIN for a debit transaction which Verizon did not
ask me for, nor why they started treating Visa check cards as debit
cards and not give you a choice to use them as a credit card when the
rest of the free world does let you chose. After another trouble ticket
was opened for their E Services departent, I was told that they wouldn't
be bothering me for money for at least a week while this was being
investigated and I was able to call my bank and get the involved. I got
another call fromm them an hour later asking me for money.

Any idea what the hell is going on here? They don't seem to want to
take responsibility for their own computer screw ups, and want to put
the blame on everyone else. As far as I know, no bank handles debits
without a PIN, but Verizon doesn't ask you for one.

Simple process, call the bank and tell them to reverse the payment
they made to whom ever it was made to. Then call Verizon on the
TELEPHONE and make the payment over the PHONE. This way they won't dun
you for the non payment no matter who's fault it may be.

The basic premise is to get your money back NOW!
Then do as I stated above. Many stores like to process the Visa Check
Cards as Debits to avoid the higher fees associated with you using it
as a charge purchase. Wal-Mart's is the #1 culprit and they even have
stopped taking MasterCard Check Cards due to the fees. This story was
on News.com.

The disadvantage to using a check card is that it is just like writing out a
check. You can not reverse charges as you can with a credit card just as you
can not reverse charges on a check that you would have sent once it has
cleared. Many people do not know this and is why after finding out the hard
way I only use my check card when I can physically walk into the store for a
refund and use a standard credit card for all other online purchases.

Not true. Did you ever call your credit union or bank and ask? If you
did you would have found that if your card is lost or stolen you don't
pay one red cent it is all refundable. Additionally if you make a
purchase with it; and you dispute the charge and it will be reversed
as a regular "charge purchase" they will not reverse a "debit"
purchase unless the card was stolen or compromised. (Something to do
with you having to use a pin number which only you should know) The
bank has to investigate the situation and it may take some time and
you may have the charge reversed back later on after they check it
out, but you can reverse the charge. I did it recently with Dell
Computers in that they shipped a product to me as ground when I had
paid for 2nd. day air. They did not like that I did it and told my CU
that they were working it out with me and tried to stop the reversal.
But the CU only paid them what I said it should have been minus the
shipping.

Bottom line see what the policy is at your own bank and CU and then do
as you feel is right.

This was at a CU that I had issues and why I no longer bank there. If used
as a debit card they told they can not reverse the charges as it is exactly
as writing a check. If used as a credit card I would imagine the regular
rules apply. This is the way I understand it as explained to me by my old CU
of about six months ago.

Correct, that was how they explained it to me as well. If you use it
like a Debit (forget it) if as a Charge (your looking large) I could
not resist the rhyme :-)

Just was watching that stupid commercial on TV for Exzyte or Emzyte or
some other dumb drug. It does have a catchy commercial.

I called the bank already - took care of that. I didn't ask for advice
on what do to with the bank - I asked if anyone had this same problem
with Verizon or anyone else:

you get booted off line when you are trying to pay a bill, they take the
money from your bank but don't credit your account

Verizon used to process my Visa check card like a charge card
transaction. Now they do it like a debit card, but they do not ask for
a PIN - why should the bank process this transaction like a debit card
with no PIN?

Can we stay on topic?

I don't get booted off line - the transaction goes quite smoothly....

They have always credited my account promptly and accurately.....usually
within five seconds.....maybe ten.....

The bank won't - as I'm sure you've already been told by the bank.....

In either case, it's tranparent to you since the only "variation" is how
much of a fee Verizon pays the bank.....

Personally, I'd use a credit card since you retain the ability to reverse
the transaction or freeze payment, etc., should you choose to do so for some
legitimate reason. With a debit card, once the payment is processed, it's
"gone".......

Frankly, I don't see what your problem is other than a strong desire to
trash Verizon.....

Based on what I've seen in previous messages and with reference to that
above, it appears that the "topic" should be changed from "Billing Problem"
to "Operator Training Required".....at the very least Verizon
troubleshooting via support would probably have solved your "Billing
Problem"....

Depends on your bank. I found this on the BofA website:

a.. Zero Liability - if your card is lost or stolen, Bank of America
reimburses you for any unauthorized card transactions up to the amount of
the loss, when reported within 60 days from statement date.

This is typical Verizon. Blame the customer. Last year I paid online and
my payment was accepted, but I didn't write down the confirmation number.
Several days later I went online to check my minutes used and found it said
my account was past-due. I called up customer service, who told me that
they were doing a billing system upgrade that day, and that was probably
why. They apologized and told me to talk to financial services.

I called up financial services and the woman I spoke to was a complete
b*tch. By the time I hung up I wanted to punch her teeth in. She gave me
all kinds of sh*t about it and acted like they were doing me a favor by not
cutting off my phone service, even though it was *1* day late, and not even
my fault. When I told her that cust svc told me about the billing system
change, she dismissed it and said, basically, that I was making the whole
thing up. I paid right there over the phone and I was steaming mad for
about an hour.

I don't pay online anymore, and I ALWAYS write down the confirmation number
and keep it.

Lesson learned should be: NEVER use a debit card (or Visa Check card) for an
online transaction!

You know I agree with the other poster here, your just looking to
whine and cry and put the company down. You were given "On Topic"
advice IDIOT since you did not state in your original whine that you
had the money replaced. You asked "what should I do".

On that note what you should do is not own a cell phone and use two
tin cans and string and talk to your friends if you have any that way.

Learn to read, it will do wonders for you in the comprehension
department.

Because they never process your debit card like a credit card. The money
always comes right out of your account, no matter how you think you are
using the card. Why? Because its not a credit card, Einstein. And you are
whining because the bank doesn't ask for a PIN, but they don't do that if
you decide to pretend its a credit card, either. Now, if you want to give
out your PIN to satisfy your fears, give me a call. I'll be glad to sell
you anything, and I'll be sure to ask for both your card number and PIN to
make sure its you doing the transaction. I'm really honest- I would NEVER
think about what I could do with both of these pieces of information.

Bottom line- they are not letting you process it as a credit card BECAUSE
ITS NOT A CREDIT CARD. And they save a crapload of money by processing it
for what it is- a debit card. You want all of the perks of a credit card-
get one and use it.

There are separate networks for processing debit card charges and for
processing credit charges. The cost structure to the merchant is very
different. (I believe that the debit networks charge more for smaller
charges, the credit networks more for larger charges.) Even though a
check card ends up taking $$ from your checking account regardless of
which network is used. The debit card network is SUPPOSED to require
the PIN; the credit network does not. This is why I have a debit card
(no MC/Visa logo) which cannot be processed through the credit network,
without a PIN, and a separate true credit card. It was a real pain to
get my bank to issue me a plain debit card rather than a check card.

Excuse me!

WalMart, K-Mart, all the local grocery stores and the gas staion with a
card reader at the pump all process VISA check cards like a credit card.
They ask you if you want to process it like a debit card by asking you
for your PIN - if you push a couple of buttons, you can get the to treat
it like a credit card. Which is what Verizon did the first time I used
it a few months ago, but for some reason they didn't do it this time.
Verizon admitted that they had similar problems with over 11 thousand
customers that they couldn't quite track down the cause for this - and
admitted that my VISA check card should have been run as a credit card.

Obviously you know nothing about modern banking - VISA and MC both have
check cards that let you use the as credit cards and take the money out
of your bank without having to use a PIN at the register. And some banks
give you a PIN for your credit card so you can take money out at the ATM
from either your credit balance (it's called "cash advance" numbnuts) or
you can use the same card to access your checking and savings accounts
over the ATM.

Now while you are correct in saying that the companies save lots of
money when you use the check card as a debit card instead of a cerdit
card, most at least give you a choice (albeit your first choice is
always to use the card in debit mode). Verizon sort of gave me that
choice - "can we run this as a debit card" and when I indicated I
preferred to use it as a credit card, they refused to take it that way.
Now this might be the equivalent of telling you that your V710 works
with full Bluetooth capabilities, but then deactivating several of them
to force you to pay for sending each pic and file through them. Simply
about corporate profits. If that is indeed the case, then Verizon
should be reported to the FCC, the US Justice Departemt (fat chance
getting Taliban Johnny Asshcroft to lift a finger to help a consumer
against a big corporation) or attorneys general in states that Verizon
does business in.

If they have a system that on the surface claims to let you input card
info and let you choose to run the card as either a credit or debit
card, then it should work that way. If it doesn't work that way - it is
either a temporary glitch which I hope they will fix, or a sign that
Verizon is all about taking you for every dime they can get - which
makes the a sociopathic corporation and they need to be bitch slapped.
Sort of like some of the idiots who responded to my original posting by
asking me if I called the bank without first reading the whole posting
and seeing that I already did that.

What do you call it when people who think they know everything but
actually know very little - demonstrated by asking questions when the
answers are already there? Social scientists call that "psuedo
certainty". I call it being a "fucking moron".

no douche - the report from Verizon about the 11 thousand people with
similar problems was the result of having bugged the crap out of Verizon
and finally asking to speak to a supervisor in their E-Services
department only YESTERDAY. Which means that my original posting was not
a troll you dumbshit!

And dumbshit I did input the code on the back of the card to process the
card like a credit card - like I have done before with them. Only after
I did that did the system go to the next screen and ask me if I wanted
to run this as a debit card. When I indicated I did not want that, it
wouldn't let me proceed. After several rounds of this, I finally gave
up and indicated that they could run it as a debit card and that is
where things went wrong.

Verizon fucked up by taking my money out of the bank, but then didn't
apply it to my balance. So clearly the problem is not that I didn't use
the card right - it's that they took the money out of the account and
didn't apply it to my balance. I am still trying to figure out why that
happened to me and I guess now 11 thousand other Verizon customers.

I bet you vote Republican, think Iraq had WMDs and was involved with
9/11, and think that Bush is doing a good job. Figures!

No dumb ass - it's obvious from the responses that I have posted that
Verizon had a problem with the card, not me having a problem using it.
I am simply trying to respond to the stupid questions and even more
stupid posts like yours. But perhaps you are too simple to understand that.

No shit head - I logged in propery, entered the data correctly, etc.
Verizon didn't treat my VISA check card payent like a credit card
transation like the E-Services guy told me it was supposed to be handled
like. I did everything I could do correctly.

Verizon booted me off their network and I had to log in again - why that
happened Verizon can't tell me. Verizon asked Paymentech to ask my bank
for the money. My bank released the money to Paymentech, but Paymentech
wouldn't release the money to Verizon. I did my part clear enough, but
apparently either Verizon and/or Paymentech didn't do their part
correctly - the same thing happened to 11,000 other people. Is that
clear enough for you, you simple-minded fucking douchebag?

Kill this douchebag - Verizon admitted it had a similar problem with
over 11 thousand customers, that it can't figure why a middle man they
use (Paymentech) took my money but didn't apply it to my Verizon
account, and gave me 250 bonus minutes for my trouble.

That three-digit security code on the back of some cards is not a PIN
code. It is an anti-fraud mechanism used by the *credit-card* network
to confirm that the person has the physical card. The PIN code used
by the *debit card* network is NEVER printed on the card. If the OP was
entering the security code along with the card number and expiration date,
then they were using the check card as a credit card, not a debit card.

To the vendor, it is one network- the payments are typically processed
through a payment clearinghouse. Any credit card transaction is then
processed as charge to the revolving line of credit (which charges the
vendor a percentage of the 'purchase') and any debit card transaction is
processed as an electronic bank debit (which charges the vendor a set fee
which can be less than a dollar).

You're right- a true debit card will require a PIN to transact business. A
check card does not require (for whatever reason) a PIN to transact
business. Requiring a PIN for an over-the-phone transaction could lead to
some interesting withdrawals from your checking account.

Any time you use a check/debit card over the phone that could happen.
Only use a "real" credit card for phone and on-line purchases.

Yes Charles - this is correct. I did have to enter the 3 digit
anti-fraud number on the back of the card, meaning it was a credit card
transaction and not a debit card transaction Uncle Elector you old
douchebag!

After entering the amount I wanted to pay, confirming the credit card
info was correct and then entering the anti-fraud number, I hit enter
and then it told me it wanted to process the transaction as a debit
transaction, not a credit card transaction.

Verizon asked my bank for the money, the bank gave it to them, but
Verizon didn't apply the money to my balance. So like I posted earlier,
there was a problem with Verizon and not me. Obviously, Uncle Elector
didn't know about this - senility perhaps?

Thanks for your clear and concise information Charles.

That is correct Charles, if you read the OP he/she/it was stating it
asked if you want to use this as a debit. Now if he/she/it did as I
wrote and placed the radio button on credit and entered the 3-4
security code in the box before clicking continue with payment, no
such screen would have appeared.

Bottom line the OP is an idiot as I and others have suggested and is
just here to whine and complain, and the last time I looked why would
financial services be calling a customer that is not in arrears? So
the OP makes a stink as if the payment was made and then blames
Verizon saying they had it and he got it back and they had a problem
with the billing system. Something is just not right with the OP post.
Don't know about you but I pay the damn invoice even before I receive
it in the mail on both my accounts. And I have never had that
situation that the OP said was shared by 11,000 others. Anyone from
Verizon here would like to check out that story and post I would guess
it was a fairy tale on the original posters part.

No dickhead - the question I originally posted was has anyone else heard
of this happening and where do they think the error in taking my money
and not applying it to my balance occurred. I didn't ask any of you
assholes how to use a credit or debit card.

Verizon has already admitted that they screwed up and are looking into
it. I got 250 bonus (or safety minutes added to my plan this month to
make up for all the time I spent on phone talking with the idiots from
Verizon who called me on 800 numbers (thereby eating into my plan
minutes), so piss off! I know I am right and you guys are full of it -

No dumb ass - I said that the store treats it like a credit card
transaction. They send the info to VISA and then it goes to your bank,
where they pay as soon as they get presented with the request for
payment. The store or the vendor (in this case Verizon) treats it like
a credit card from their standpoint. That is exactly how the cards are
marketed on TV - you use it like a credit card and the money comes from
your checking account.

Then how is it you know so little about VISA check cards that are
treated like credit cards?

From a banking website describing VISA check cards:

Once a purchase is made, an M&F VISA Check Card transaction is handled
by the merchant just like a charge with a Visa Card. The merchant
requests and receives an authorization for the purchase either
electronically or by placing a phone call.

No need to round up that checkbook, a pen and two forms of
identification. With your M&F VISA Check Card, it's as simple as using a
credit card. The purchase amount comes right out of your checking
account. You may use your current available checking account balance for
your purchases and cash withdrawals.

The M&F VISA Check Card is accepted all over the world; wherever Visa
cards are accepted; and purchases made outside the U.S. are converted to
dollars at a convenient exchange rate.

My bank lists any and all transcations made using this card as a VISA
check transaction, seperate from debit card transactions which I don't
make anyway. When I did pay Verizon on-line using the checking account
number and routing number from the bottom of my checks, it was treated
by my bank as an ACH transaction - totally different from the way that
they treat payments made using my VISA check card.

Of course if you are doing the job you say you are doing, maybe that
explains why screw-ups at places like Verizon happen when they do -
since you obviously know so little about what actually happened.

I didn't say that I used a credit card. I said that I used a VISA check
card which Verizon is supposed to treat like a credit card transaction,
but my bank pays the requests for payment out of my checking account.

Nope - sorry you are wrong. The card is treated by accepting merchants
just like a credit card. It they treated it like a debit card, then you
would need to input a PIN at the terminal each and every time you used
the card. Since I can use this card at a terminal with no PIN, it is
treated by the merchant like a credit card. It is treated by the bank
as a debit card with respect to requests for payment.

They had some sort of software glitch that let me enter the card as a
credit card and even asked me for the three-digit anti-fraud number, but
when I hit enter it displayed a message saying it wanted to treat the
card like a debit card.

Where did I say that there was any cost disadvantage to me? I never
said or wrote that? I simply stated that I preferred to make this a
credit card transaction and not a debit card transaction, but that the
Verizon on-line payment system seemed to force me to chose a debit payment.

You surely know that when you go into a store and buy an item at a
posted price, you pay the same price (in most cases) whether you pay
cash, check, debit or credit card. But you know that the VISA charges
the merchant a percentage of the amount presented to them for payment -
you do know that right? And the processing of debit card transactions
is handled the same way, just that the debit fee is generally smaller
than the credit card fee. Which is why merchants like Wal-Mart sort of
have the default method of payment to be a debit transaction - and you
have to go through several steps to make it a credit card transaction.

Yes I do pay Verizon the same amount regardless of the method of
payment. Verizon just gets a varrying amount depending on the method of
payment. Do you understand that Mr High Finance?

I believe it was a little girlie name. I will eventually find it and

Me thinks I agree with you.

Let's look at just the 11,000 number (Yes, I think there is about no chance
that CS would quote you something like that... at best I could imagine
something like "others have had problems" if anything at all -- this
assuming
there was a problem).

More than 33,000,000 customers. That would be 11 out of 33,000... If
I was running a business I wouldn't see that as my highest priority problem.
Secondly, the chance of someone reading his post on this group who would
have had the supposed problem and avoid it is almost zero. That "warning"
was a huge waste of electrons. Of course I don't think that was the intent.

Let me tell you something piss ant, your whine needs more cheese. And
it would seem you have posted here before with that little girlie
writing style. Did not like the answer and then yell "lets keep it on
topic" I think others will remember you also.

Your a Verizon basher and complainer. Albeit I don't hold Verizon in
the best light all the time, I don't come in here and state that
Customer Service told you 11,000 others had the same problem. Sure
they did...

If I were customer service I would tell you that; other than the truth
that your a total idiot and you really did not know how to make a
credit/debit transaction and the part about the pin that your claiming
is after the fact since I brought it up. I called the web services
number at the payment site and they said it could be possible that the
system fell as you were clicking submit payment but that would not
have resulted in a confirmation number or email receipt and no monies
would have been transferred from your account (Credit or Debit).

They also informed me that occasionally if you hit submit twice the
payments would naturally come out twice, and that they know of an
issue where the site does not function at all (during maintenance
hours and or when the server is experiencing difficulties) and you can
then call the *611 or the *PMT and make the payment that way from the
cards that are on file. It is both an automated service and a physical
speaking to a person if you so desire. So there were options.

Additionally this web services unit told me that customer service
could have told you if the payment had been applied from their screen.
So my guess is again that your a bozo that should not have or use any
type of credit/debit card or a computer due to that foul mouth of
yours sonny.

And I am not as old as you think junior, so be careful I am not some
old man that will take your gruff. Got it? Good.

The merchant treats the transaction like a credit card payment, but the
paying bank does not. Can't you get that through your thick head?

no douchebag - I did enter the card as a credit card and entered the 3
digit anti-fraud code, but Verizon still wanted to treat this card as a
debit card. So there was a problem with Verizon and not the way I
entered the data.

Financial Services was calling because I had to call them about the
payment that wasn't credited to my balance, and they opened up a trouble
ticket about it for me. They called me to tell me what happened and did
I want to make a payment that day?

You are such a presumptive old douchebag - trying to make up stuff out
of nothing.

Wrong again, trollboy- the merchant doesn't send any information to Visa- it
goes to a payment clearinghouse for larger businesses and to a bank for
small businesses. For debit card transactions, it goes from the
clearinghouse to your bank. Visa doesn't process a thing- they just collect
the fee.

>The store or the vendor (in this case Verizon) treats it like

Wrong- the vendor pays much more for a credit card transaction and will
avoid them at all costs- it is one of the most expensive for them to
process.

Three for three, dipstick- the ads on TV say use it anywhere the credit card
is honored. It doesn't say to use it like a credit card. Of course, the
commercials you are seeing during your Barney marathons probably use the
really big words. Mommy can help you with them.

What a old douchebag - had nothing better to do then to call up Verizon
CS and see if what I claimed to have happen to me could have happened?
Do you think they would admit to it if you weren't the customer having
the problem? I doubt it!

Well I for one am not gonna post my financial transactions on line for
old douchebags like you to drool over. Suffice it to say that it did
happen - they took money out of my bank account and didn't apply it to y
balance. It has nothing to do with using the on-line payment system
wrong - it's Verizon's fault. Why can't an old douchebag like you see
that? Are you on the payroll or a old-time pensioner?

which they didn't get from me. Grow the fuck up and learn to read!

What did assholes like you contribute? I asked a question, you dipshits
told me to call my bank, which if you had read the original posting, you
would have known I already did. I wanted to know if anyone else had
problems with Verizon incorrectly handling a transaction and taking
money and not crediting it to my balance. Few people have actually
every stayed on topic and answered the question.

And for you dickheads who say I hate Verizon - that also is incorrect -
I love the company. Verizon service is pretty good, except for some
dropped calls here and there. I had ALLTEL the year before I signed up
with Verizon, but hated them - although their unlimited nights started
at 9PM, I couldnt' get a call out until 10PM at night most of the time,
and during the day around 5PM I couldn't get calls out either. Verizon
is much better than ALLTEL.

I had a V120C for a year, signed a two-year contract, swapped to a V120C
until the headset jack popped off the board which they couldn't fix, so
I got a new VX3200 and got a two year contract. I was gonna get a V710
but decided against it from reading the posts on here about how the
phone was crippled by Verizon to make them more money. Their corporate
greed doesn't make then any better or worse than any other company as
far as I am concerned but then again I didn't piss away close to 300 on
a crippled phone.

Do companies force customers to use cards in a debit mode rather than a
credit mode so they can pay a smaller fee to the clearinghouse or to
VISA? Sure they do - but at least they give the customer a choice. The
law requires them to do so. That's how Wal-Mart got into trouble a
while ago. If every other merchant accepts my VISA check card just like
a credit card and not require me to enter a PIN to use it, but for
Verizon to let me enter the card info for a credit card type payment
then tell me they can only run it as a debit card is wrong.

It is also wrong to take the money from me then not apply it to my
balance. Even if they take it temporarilly and give it back means I am
without the use of that money for that period of time. Do they pay a
fine or a fee for borrowing my money even short term? If so, they don't
pay it to me and it was my money to begin with? Should such "short term
borrowing" or "theft" go unpunished?

Also I did mention that there seemed to be a computer glitch when I did
the first transaction - bet you didn't even see that! Learn to read and
comprehend what you read.

There's a new huge shakeup in the banking business that comes online on the
28th of this month, by Federal Reserve decree. Go to Google and search
for:

"Check 21"

Everyone with a checking account, bound by the computers to suffer, needs
to carefully read what Consumer's Union has to say on:
http://www.consumersunion.org/finance/ckclear1002.htm
Pay particular attention to the new bank buzzword bingo, "Substitute Check"
and "Voluntary Check Truncation", which CU says to refuse at all costs.

The only benefit to the consumer is "Substitute Check", which I'm sure you
are going to have to pay for. If you get substitute checks, Federal
regulations force your stingy banker to re-pay any screwups to your account
within 10 days while they're investigating what Verizon did with your
money. Without substitute checks, you will not have access to your money
during the long, arduous, screw-up investigation periods. Following
Consumer's Union's instructions can help.

Check 21 is in response to 9/11. Bankers backed up over $400 BILLION (with
the B) in unpaid paper checks on airplanes grounded by the FAA. This was
one of the main reasons FAA was pressured to put the Airbus Bombs back in
the air so quickly, even though the airport security was a joke. Big Money
talks real loud in Congress, you know. Check 21 makes it so your bank will
pay their bank INSTANTLY, not when the airline delivers the checks,
eliminating the FLOAT consumers have been milking money from forever. Only
the BANK will be able to float YOUR money by not paying the check you
deposit for days, even though they've also been paid in seconds, the
bastards. Check 21 doesn't prohibit banks from floating consumer's
deposited checks.

ON TOPIC - I got a slip in my bill from Alltel telling me any checks sent
to Alltel will, after Check 21 turns on, show up as a direct funds transfer
the instant they open the billing envelope and extract the check. Alltel
won't be getting any more checks from me. I'll pay them in cash at the
office. I don't like cellular and cable TV company screwups to have access
to my checking account, DIRECTLY, do you??

Anyone with a checkbook needs to research Check 21, immediately. My bank
gets all cagey when I asked them to sign me up for "Substitute Checks".
"Oh, we'll take care of you without that.", some bureaucrat assured me.
Yeah, right! Every banker is just your closest friend......NOT!

But at the same time - how many companies will take the original payment
check, make an electronic copy of it, and then present both for payment,
leaving the customer with bounced check charges and no money for the
weeks it takes for the whole mess to clear up.

These companies routinely hire illegal aliens, flout labor and health
and safety laws, and God knows what else, all in the name of making a
buck and not getting caught at it. Who will throw the CEO of Verizon or
any other company in jail for check fraud? No one will - and they will
make millions off of double dipping with checks and e-payments for as
long as they can.

But numbnuts - you said in your earlier post that you goet the number
from the Verizon website. Now you say it was given to you - given to
you by whom? Where did you get that number from? Not from the web site
like you originally claimed you got it from.

I talked with CS, who transferred me to Financial Services, who
transferred me to E-Services, who is responsible for their electronic
transactions. I don't know where you got that number from, but the
people I talked with who gave me the answers I got and reported on here
were from E-Services.

As far as what I do, I am a commercial photographer who travels around
working for a variety of clients. I will be in NYC next week attending
a trade show and partying with clients on Thursday night, and partying
with models on Friday night. You will no doubt be masturbating to gay
male porn on the Internet. Good luck with your life - you need it you
miserable bastard!

Now you have a friend at Verizon. I find it hard to believe you have
friends at all, unless it is someone you trade kiddie porn with. So how
did he know what my problem was, or the circumstances behind it, if he
didn't have access to my account? He was hypothesizing, and doing a bad
job of it.

Gainfully employed? Glad to hear it - someone needs to be paying taxes
out of their regular paycheck while I enjoy the fruits of my labors and
pay for it out of my pre-tax income. And that includes partying my ass
off in NYC with a buncha cute models, and may be even getting them to
model some lingerie for me. Go fuck yourself you miserable old coot!

Yeah. It's a load of post-9/11 bullshit that will result in check-writing
customers getting screwed up the ass with no K-Y. Thanks, Congress, as usual
you have proven yourself a bunch of reactionary, slobbering fucking morons.

Have you read it? Some fraud controls that existed previously won't, any
longer, and a very real possibility exists that you could write a check and
under certain situations have it be processed twice.

I hope the idiots in Congress and/or at the Federal Reserve who made this
decision end up bouncing a buttload of checks and getting sued out of existence. :)

Fortunately, although Sprint hasn't opened their Victorville office yet, it
turns out that I will be working literally two blocks west of their Rancho
Cucamonga corporate store on Foothill Boulevard, and that store has a payment
machine that accepts cash.

Well, frankly, I am a customer of one of the largest banks in the country, if
not *the* largest, and I've constantly been impressed - the local branches
treat us like royalty. I think we're going to have to go talk to one of the
branch managers, and I'm going to make it clear that we're not going to
tolerate any bullshit with our account. I have certain obligations of things I
personally need to do to prevent fraud, but a lot of what needs to be done,
needs to be done on the bank's end.

But in the end, I am going to go out on a limb and suggest that my wife and I
are going to be writing a significantly smaller number of checks in the future.

Yes. The idea is to avoid float. However, I also believe a lot of people like
my wife, who don't kite checks, are also going to get screwed.

I don't know who you talked with either because we have ascertained

Yeah your a photographer, sure you are. The only models you will be
partying with are men. Then again those that talk shit like you are
usually losers. Keep posting you prove it everytime you post a reply.

No the folks on the line I spoke with told me how to make a electronic
transaction, I used your post as the question, IE: I typed in my
account number and I selected credit and I am using a check card and I
placed a 3 digit pin number (security pin) in the box as required and
the screen went and said I needed a pin number for a debit
transaction, oh what could have been the problem? And why did that
screen appear? Did I do something wrong? Could the system been down at
the time of my payment? The people at the number I gave told me to pay
it over the phone either on the PMT number or 611. I was also told as
I posted you lying little girlie man to call customer service and ask
if the payment was showing since they could have avoided all the
agrivation if the payment was showing.

Ha ha you lying idiot. If you have any job as a photographer it is
taking pictures of nude men while you beat yourself off. That is the
only models you'll ever get close to. Loser. And partying, yeah right
I can see it now "You bending over for your butt buddies and drinking

This is exactly why you need that "substitute check" the CU talks about in
their webpage about Check 21. Without it, the double payment fraud can
continue on indefinately, with the bank withholding your funds, until the
final resolution (and probably beyond). With "substitute checks", your
bank has 10 days to put the disputed money BACK in your account for you to
use until the resolution proves it needs to be paid, of course.

Check 21 is really about keeping the banking system from collapsing the
next time they have to ground all the airline fleets. We came VERY close
to a complete crash in the days following 9/11. That was never really
published because "they" don't want you to think about something that might
cause a run on the bankers.

I don't know if you've noticed, Steve, but financial decisions in America
are all made by people from Tel Aviv. I still don't think the WTC attack
was an attack on America. The owners of WTC and its tenants were way
Jewish, the Muslims' usual targets. Billions of dollars in Jewish

Oh, no. No "payment machines"! Payment machines cannot be subpoenaed to
testify that I made my payment, on time, in cash. If I deal with any

I've been with my bank since 1968, I think. They started here in a trailer
and my movie theatre (I was the manager) was their first commercial
account. I still remember the smile on the branch manager's face over
coffee in his little trailer office when I enquired about passing $30-
40K/week through his safe deposit box. I watched them pour the concrete
around the big safe while the huge crane held 'er steady. The lady who
handles new accounts and I have been through countless branch managers. I
tease her about having to train a "new employee" every time we get a new
one...(c;

Me, too! I had a long conversation with my biggest kickback credit card
company. Reading the fine print on the latest contract, I'm not
responsible, under Federal Law, for any screwups or fraud on credit (NOT
DEBIT!!) card payments. So, if I were to pay these bills from Bank One's
super Platinum, then pay them just one check per month, I only expose
myself to one Check 21 screwup that only involves ONE bank, not 20.

That may be a good solution. That account is 20 years old and has never
had a screwup. I check it monthly. Federal laws protect credit card
customers much better than bank customers.

Well, since Sprint charges me to give my payment to a human at the store, and I
have never had a problem with Sprint crediting my payment-machine payment
within twelve hours as is their stated policy, I will continue to have no
problems making payments at the machine. I get a receipt that I can present in
court should Sprint decide to claim I didn't pay.

Wifey and I talked, and I decided my major problem with Check 21 isn't
increased possibility of fraud, but a major decrease in accountability in the
event of fraud.

I've been watching Larry entertain the troops for at least 10 years in
usenet, maybe longer. He's always been somewhat paranoid and
occasionally racist and anti-Semitic; I think he's now gone over the
edge of the cliff. He's about 60, and retired as an electronics chief

Why is it EVERY time someone states any kind of opinion that includes the
word "Jew", he's to be branded an instant anti-semetic, or some other kind
of heretic? I stated fact. Jews owned WTC, Jews rented out most of the
space. Jews lost billions in diamonds and gold when it came tumbling down,
hurting Jews something awful in the process, exactly what Osama Bin Laden
and his Muslim extremists wanted.

Ah, but wait. We're not supposed to THINK about Jews in America, are we?
We're not supposed to have "evil thoughts".

The bullshit is YOURS. I stated my observations of FACTS and made no hate
statements about anyone's religion. I merely said the keyword "Jew" and
the avalanche of hate rhetoric commences, as if it were right on cue.

It is.

If the United States of America weren't SO infiltrated by the State of
Israel's agents and supporters at the highest level of government, we
wouldn't just turn our blind eyes away from the Israeli atrocities
committed against Muslim citizens of their own country, EVERY DAY. We also
wouldn't be the prime target in the attacks by desparate people who have no
other way to react than to hate those supporting their people's genocide.

Open your eyes! Those helicopters over the Palestinians aren't ours. We
just paid for them with the biggest foreign aid package given to any
country in history. We finance them, as well as the Tadiran AWACS planes
sold to our enemies, the Commie Chinese!

Why do Arabs hate Americans? It doesn't take a Rhodes Scholar to see
why....

By the way, THREE of the guys I went to ET School with in 1964-5 in the US
Navy were KILLED by Israelis in TWO attacks on the USS Liberty in
international waters in the Med in 1967. Go take a look at the Liberty
crews' web page... http://www.ussliberty.com
Mistaken identity my ass......

Don't think Tel Aviv has infiltrated the US Government?

From the crews' webpage:
"Our commanding officer, Captain William Loren McGonagle, received the
Congressional Medal of Honor for conspicuous gallantry and intrepidity at
the risk of his life above and beyond the call of duty during the attack.
The Congressional Medal of Honor is the highest award our country can
bestow. To avoid embarrassing our attackers, Captain McGonagle's Medal of
Honor was presented in a quiet ceremony in the Washington Navy Yard instead
of in the White House by the President as is customary."

Where does YOUR loyalty lie, by the way? JDL? Mossad?

Except your "facts," aren't. Your comment is based on exactly what, aside from
the stereotype that Jews control every last bit of the money in this country?

> Why do Arabs hate Americans? It doesn't take a Rhodes Scholar to see
> why....

Frankly, I think the people running things both in Israelis *and* on the
Palestinian side are all idiots. If they had more sense, *perhaps* things might
be different today, but BOTH sides are so full of hard-liners and religous
fundamentalist wingnuts that that is NEVER going to happen.

I have always been aware that this is not a popular opinion for an American Jew
to hold. Oh, well.

Moreover, I actually agree with you that if the US minded its own business more
often, we wouldn't have half of the rest of the planet angry with us. (I'm
sorry, were you expecting me to argue?)

I also don't hold the opinion held by some people I know that all Muslims
and/or Arabs are slime... I've worked for people of Arab descent before, and
perhaps interacting with them every day of the week made a difference, who
knows...

> Where does YOUR loyalty lie, by the way? JDL? Mossad?

I almost said this before, but didn't - but I'll say it now... Fuck you. You
know *nothing* about me. Your assumption that because I'm Jewish I agree with
everything Israel does is outrageous... more so than your perpetuation of the
stereotype mentioned above.

I can't stand people like you who presume to know exactly what I think and how
I feel about certain things and then blast me for feeling something that I
don't actually feel. (How very American of you.)

Hm. Ok, I'll bite - Let's start with media.

Lowry Mays of Clear Channel isn't Jewish, as far as I know.
Mel Karmazin of Viacom (Viacom/Paramount/CBS/MTV/etc.) is.
Rupert Murdoch isn't. He isn't even American. ;)

Shall we read off a laundry list of media moguls and list who's Jewish and
who's not?

No dickhead - you ust be getting senile or you are an old liar. Here it
is from your original posting on 10/13/04 at 4:34 PM:

You wrote that you called the web services number at the payment site.
Does that not mean the website if you are trying to pay a bill on the
website? You said that the number was there, I said it was not. Then
you claimed that you already had it - because you have friends at
Verizon, althought it's doubtful that anyone there would admit to being
your friend.

Maybe you scared them off? Maybe they don't all have computers, maybe
they don't know about USENET? Do you ake the assumption that everyone
who has a Verizon phone has Internet access and is into USENET news
groups? If you make that assumption, then you are a bigger asshole
thatn I originally thought.

What you don't seem to understand you poor dumb shut-in is that I did
correctly enter my data on the payment screen - Verizon told Paymentech
to take the money from my bank, and then Paymentech was supposed to pay
Verizon. My bank transferred the money to Paymentech, but Payentech
didn't send the money to Verizon. I got my money back - obviously there
was a computer glitch which effected communications between Verizon and
Paymentech. Are you claiming that such glitches can't happen? I was
just trying to find out what the problem was. Can't you get that
through your thick head?

I was on the phone with Verizon Customer Services who told me that the
payment didn't show up on my bill. I also was transferred to Financial
Services who also said the same thing - and was told that they would be
the people who could investigate why my bank made a payment that wasn't
showing up as being applied to my account although my bank paid it out.

After I have explained all this to you and everyone else countless
times, you still think that this is all about my not knowing how to make
a payment on line, you poor dumb schmuck?

When using my debit card, I always have it processed as a credit card
transaction unless I am going to get cash back. This gives me a couple of
extra days before the money is withdrawn from my account as opposed to
almost immediately when processed as a debit card transaction.

Here-in lies one of the major issues I have and have had with you in the past.
Your OPINION..... NOT fact. But, you state everything you say, as if it is fact.
The truth is exactly the opposite. 99% bullshit.

The FACT is, your opinion is and always has been based VERY little in fact.
Your rants about how every advancement in technology is a conspiracy of greed.

Now, you rave about the Jews. Proves the point that your OPINION doesn't mean shit.
Most everything you say is pure and undiluted crap. Always has been. Always will be....

Trust me douchebag I know an f-stop from a stop watch. Actually, if you
ask any RIT grad from the late 70's and early 80's about "Helmut Newton
Junior", they'll tell you that he does know his f-stops from a stop
watch. Knows them well enough to teach an advanced photo elective class
too! But I doubt you know what RIT is or are smart enough to find out.

Actually dickhead - I defy you to come up with the quotes to show that I
changed my story. I on the otherhand have provided quotes to show that
you are the fucking liar who can't keep his story straight - in fact I
have done it twice with you. Can you come up with two quotes from me
where I later changed my story? If you can't - your appology still
won't be accepted by me, because you are a fucking piece of shit!

I didn't need your help getting my money back from Verizon you asshole!
I wanted to know if anyone else had this problem with Verizon. You
kept telling me that I didn't know how to make a payment and now you
admit that they could have a web glitch? Who is changing their stories now?

It's you who has the reading and comprehension problem, since you can't
seem to realize that I didn't ask for help getting my money back or help
making the payment in the first place.

You are some lonely old fart who doesn't have any friends who gets off
posting useless info on the Net thinking you are answering questions and
really all you do is uddy the waters! If I ask you what time it is, do
you try and tell me how to read a watch face? I didn't ask you to tell
me how to read a watch face - I asked you what time it is! That is
about how usefull your answers were to me - and I imagine to anyone else!

My posts prove that my story hasn't changed while yours has. I defy you
to prove otherwise with quotes. And remember - changing the quotes is
cheating - which I wouldn't put past you. But it can be verified so
easy, so why bother? Why don't you admit that you were wrong, gave a
useless answer that was off topic, and grow the fuck up!

Well lets recap you useless piece of shit loser. You came in here with
a quite lengthy post on how you were having trouble making a payment
to Verizon and that a screen popped up and asked for a pin and that
you went and called customer service and told them about what happened
and then went thorough a maze of calls to reach the E-Services (Web
Services) and they (Verizon) told you 11,000 others had the same
problem.

Lie #1 Verizon never would have given you a definitive number and I
told you so in my post to you.

You stated in your posts that the payment processing center had your
money from a "debit payment that should have been a credit payment"
and that Verizon told you this and that they would investigate the
matter. However you claimed that Verizon started calling you for
PAYMENT which did not sit well with me since if they are investigating
why would they call you at all?

Lie #2 If Verizon were doing an investigation the law stops them from
the collection calls. Its called the FDCPA you already put in a
dispute jackass.

You then posted your lies and dared me to post any number that I would
have called. which I did. I never said I spoke to Customer Service
since your cutting from your own post and you seem to have a attitude
problem. Typical of a cry baby or loser. I am betting on the fact your
both so you were caught in

Lie #3 I never said that or changed my story. Your assumptions is what
you were posting, I told you a friend gave me the number. And a
correct number since I noted you called it to see what it went to. So
who is the liar here jerk wad? Must be you.

You then started this long posting (Trolling as far as I can tell)
about you being this photographer and using terms that I would say you
had no knowledge and forethought of as to gender and sexual
orientation and not just to me but others here as well. You were
called on it an in a lash out you have been foul mouthing everyone
that called you on your lies or attitude. About you partying with
models and you used derogatory terms against me first and I was very
polite so you get exactly what a loser like you deserves. The same
treatment back.

And RIT stands for Rochester Institute of Technology. Little troll man
a few exits for me on the thruway. I doubt you ever had any teacher
from there that could stand you. I noted however that you are to much
of a loser to be gainfully employed and for a big money maker you
claim to be I would not have had Verizon trying to collect from me,
and you then use a sham instance of the web site took your money and
then you cried like a little sissy and probably begged to have those
extra minutes added on. When I called Verizon I was given an accurate
assessment of what could happen and then other avenues to effect
payments. So nothing I posted little loser has been a lie. I never
said that a web glitch could not occur, I never said you did not call
Verizon, and I never claimed that the problem you posted was not
feasible, just that you did not know how to make a payment and the
more you cry about it the proof was in your postings. So learn to
attribute the right posts to the correct people.

And for the last time stop trolling this group. No one here wants to
read your drivel and lies.

[Your Original Rant]

###############################################################################################################
[My initial response to you, not the nice response]

Elector

###################################################################################################################
[Response to Hot Rod]

[Response to Hot Rod]

Correct, that was how they explained it to me as well. If you use it

Learn to read, it will do wonders for you in the comprehension
department.

Elector

#####################################################################################################################

Stick them up your *** most likely!

When you use the debit card/check card as a charge you have to put the
security PIN from the back of the card in the little box and then
click submit. That way Idiot the problem would not have occurred.
Simple huh?

On second thought if customer service already told you that 11,000
people had this problem then your initial post here was a "troll" post
since your question was already answered.

And lastly no matter what is wrong with the billing system you want to
get your money back which I did not read in the initial post but I
will go and look at it again this morning when I get to work. My
concern is to get your money back first so you can argue and dicker
and whine with the company on your terms. Once they have your funds it
is quite conceivable that you will fight for the credits. So my advice
was to help. But you have shown that your an idiot.

Elector

######################################################################################################################

Hello Trollfaz:

Well if you got the F***ing answer, why keep trolling here with your shit
head responses? Obviously a loser who does not know how to use a debit or a
credit card for that matter.

Here let uncle Elector help you. Log on to the Verizon Wireless Account
system. Make sure you put the right account number and pin in (Knowing how
you have problems with the pin entering), then under pay bill make sure you
select the radio button for the type of account and how your paying. Pay
special attention to DEBIT and CREDIT CARD then select the proper credit
card type. Visa or MasterCard or American Express, then place that visa
check card number in and the expiration date if you had not previously saved
the profile information. Then read further down and place that security pin
in the little box before you click submit or the screen is going to ask how
you want to process the transaction? (which means Sherlock you did not place
that pin in as you stated and are trying to cover up for your own stupidity)
Then it asks to click confirm and to hit the button to make the payment.
After a few seconds the screen states that the payment was approved and you
get a confirmation number. So shit head you did not make the payment
correctly. Now to the other 11,000 folks that had the same problem I note
its only you in here posting like a little bitch and piss moaning, and
crying about Verizon this and that. And how you don't like the US Attorney
General and complain to the FCC and others.

Stick it little piss ant. You have reached the end of your troll posts. No
one here will fall for your replies. Troll Boy!!

Elector

#####################################################################################################################

Got it? Good.

Gee there goes that reading ability not in force as usual. You said

did not say I got it from the website. I said I spoke to Verizon.

I don't know who you talked with either because we have ascertained
that your a liar. As to how the situation transpired. I don't see
11,000 folks posting here asking if they had a simular experience.

Loser. And partying, yeah right
I can see it now "You bending over for your butt buddies and drinking
there L**D's" ha ha and then some other butt buddies shooting
pictures with that throw away camera you use. What a lying loser.
Please go away troll your humor value is starting to wane even with

And for the last time loser, I don;'t care how you made that so called

other avenues to pay and verify the payments. You seem to have a
reading problem and you change your story more times than I can read
it. I simply responded to your stupid post to make you get your money
back so you would have the leverage to deal with the cell company from
your own terms and not theirs, but your too dam stupid to see that.
Your a liar. Your posts prove it. Now go away lying troll. Loser.

Bottom line Troll, I never said I called customer service, I said I called

say I received the number from the website my quote: "I called the web

services number at the payment site"

http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/splash/autoSystemPrompts.jsp which is
option #3 for help with the web. However I stated the number I have came
from a friend at Verizon which is not listed on the web. Two different

In any case your story never panned out since the people at the numbers I
called said that No Problems were found. So your just an idiot and did not

I guess that's true if your bank is still in the stone age. I hold
accounts at a couple of banks, one a small local bank and the other a
large nationwide bank, and both offer zero liability policies for
disputed charges on a check card. You file a dispute, and the money is
credited to your account the same day while the investigation is pending.

(Of course, if the dispute is deemed unfounded, the money comes right
back out, but this is no different from a credit card.)

In any case, for online payments of recurring bills (like the cell phone
and such) I've stopped bothering with a merchants' system, and I just
use the bill-payment system that banks offer nowadays. There tends to
be more accountability this way, and any bank worth their salt will
guarantee the reliability of the transaction or credit your account
accordingly if the payment fails to go through. What's more, the
merchant I'm paying the bill off to doesn't get to know my check card
number, nor do they get to see my checking account number (which they
would otherwise see printed at the bottom of each check I would write).
All they get is the payment, my name and the account number that the
payment should be credited to. Never had a problem using it.

Any self-respecting bank will offer bill pay for free, along with online
account access.

Douchebag - I asked you to provide quotes from my posts for you to back
up your lip dick claims that I am lying. You could not do that, and
instead only lie some more. I defy you to provide the actual quotes
from my postings where I write otherwise. Notice how he has to recap -
he can't provide the posts to back up his bullshit assertions!

Elector Lie #1: I never wrote that a window popped up and asked me to
input a PIN.

Dickhead - I posted that I went on to make a payment on line and entered
the data from my VISA check card in order to have the transaction made
as a "CREDIT CARD" transaction. I clicked a box to continue, and the
Verizon payment site informed me that they wanted to make this
transation a debit transaction and not a credit transaction, and did I
want to proceed with this as a debit transaction.

I indicated that I did not want this to be a debit transaction, but the
Verizon payment system would not let me proceed until I finally gave up
and indicated "yes" I did want this to be handled as a debit. Then the
screen advanced to the boilerplate about terms and conditions, then I
clicked on the window to the next screen, which I assume would have
eventually confirmed that the transaction took place, and given me a
confirmation number.

That did not happen - instead after a long wait, the Verizon bill
payment system logged me off their system and I had to log back in -
where I saw that my balance remained the same as before I tried to make
the earlier payment.

I called Verizon Customer Service and told them what happened. They put
me on the phone with a Electronigc Services rep who tried to guide me
through the payment system. With his help, I tried to make another
payment and this time got an error message saying that the payment
hadn't gone through due to a problem with Paymentech. I then went to a
window on the Verizon website (forget what it's called right now) that
shows all your payment transactions - successful as well as failed. And
that day - I had two failed transactions - including one which said that
my bank wouldn't process a debit payment without a PIN (which of course
the Verizon payment window never asked me to provide).

I called my bank to see what my balance was and what my last transaction
was - and lo and behold Verizon took $100 out my bank that very day! I
told the bank not to process any more transactions from Verizon until I
got this straightened out.

I called Verizon Customer service after I called the bank, and told them
what happened. They seemed to think that this wasn't possible, but
wanted me to fax them something from the bank showing that a payent had
in fact been made. I did that.

Elector Lie #2:

That I called Verizon Customer Service as soon as the request for a PIN
came up on screen.

Dickhead - couldn't call Verizon right after a request for my PIN came
up because there was no request for a PIN from Verizon ever! For the
rest - see response to Elector Lie 1.

> Lie #1 Verizon never would have given you a definitive number and I

> why would they call you at all?

Elector Lie #3: How the fuck does Erectile Dysfunction know what a
Verizon E-Services rep told me? How would he know unless he had access
to my account, which he does not have?

He claims they would never tell me this because first he called someone
from a number he got off the Verizon payment web page, who told him
Verizon would never do this. Then he claims he didn't get this number
from the web site, instead he has a "friend" at Verizon Web Services (or
some such department) who told him that would never happen. Which lie
do you want to stick with - that you got the number from a web site or
that you have friends at Verizon who told you this could never happen?
How about sending me - via e-mail directly to my address - the name and
employee number of the so-called "friend" you have there who can tell me
how he knows so much about my problem if he wasn't in the department
that originally handled the complaint I made in the first place?

Lack of Erection Lie #4: See see response to lie 5

>
> Lie #2 If Verizon were doing an investigation the law stops them from

> dispute jackass.

Lack of Erection Lie #5: There is no requirement from Verizon to notify
you when they are done with their side of the investigation or what the
outcome is. So how do you know when the investigation is over unless
they call you and tell you, or you call them and ask them?

They knew I was trying to make a payment and they wanted to know if I
wanted to make a payment at that time. Since I did not have
satisfactory answers to my original question, I told them I would not be
making a payment to them over the phone until I got answers to my
questions - does that satisfy you doucheboy?

Lack of Erection Lie #6: I included quotes from your original posting
where - based on your infantile writing style - it appeared that you did
talk with someone at Customer Service. But you did lie about where you
got that number from - you first said it came from the Verizon bll
payment page. After I asked you to prove it, you then claimed that you
have a friend at Verizon who I presume you already had a number for and
you called him up. And you asked him to hypothesize about the
probability that this would happen.

> you were posting, I told you a friend gave me the number. And a

Lie #7: Yes you did change your story doucheboy - you lied about where
the number came from - first it was on a website, then you already had
the number of a friend:

> You then started this long posting (Trolling as far as I can tell)

Lie #8: Actually doucheboy, you gave a pretty good description of gay
porn to me. I described taking pics of cute adult female models who I
might be working with in NYC. Don't be afraid of being gay Elector -
Dick Cheney loves you!

Lie 9: How could you get an accurate assesment of what happened on my
account if you didn't know what my account was? Prove it - have your
buddy from Verizon e-mail me and I can call him up and ask him how he
could know so much about my account without knowing what it was?

Face it doucheboy - you were talking out of your ass and when you got
caught you got pissed. Admit it and the rest of use won't be laughing
at your sorry posts when we read them.

Actually - I am gonna go out drinking with several of my old teachers
from RIT later this week in NYC. Probably gonna hoist a few brews at
McSorley's. So go fuck yourself. And you obviously know so little
about commercial photography - the vast majority of photographers are
self-employed due to the nature of the business. Few businesses have
ever had in-house photography departments that do commercial advertising
photography - years ago more did, but today they are fewer and fewer
that do. Unless you count working as a staff photographer on a
newspaper or magazine - and today more and more photographers are
freelancers - which means they are self employed.

Hey smart mouth, I was being sarcastic in the statement above. Since
you are a liar and lied about how it happened and all you have done is
try and troll this group with this stupid post (hey good job asshole)
which is getting quite large by my looking at the thread.

You are a liar. You cannot escape that. You said that the web site did
this and that to you. Could it have happened possibly. Did it happen
to 11,000 folks at that time. No it did not.

The web site has a number to call MORON you call that number and press
option 3 for web site problems. However troll boy I have a friend at
Verizon who gave me another number to call. When we spoke and he asked
me why I needed it I told him the scenario and he said the same thing
the web people said to me when I called, the web site may have been
down for maintenance and the transaction did not process and to:

1- Call customer service and ask if the payment posted?
2- Call 611 and ask a live person to make the payment for you.
3- Call PMT from your cell phone and follow the prompts to pay the
bill through the automatic attendant.

all of the above is what you could have done, but did not. Like I said
your posts show you to be a loser and a punk.
but all types post in here.

And like I stated earlier its the porn photographers like you that
engage in that sick filming of gay and kiddie porn that should be off
the net. The only crusted shorts around here are the ones your
wearing.

You are the one in your shit posts that alluded to me "jerking off to
gay porn" since you brought it up you are the one that usually is the
sicko. And you don't like to have your momma used tough, you have no
regard for anyone here and did not from the second post to myself and
others with your foul mouth. Tough shit.

And my invitation still stands "come on up anytime" jerk off.

and assistance to many. However you have come in here and smart
mouthed every single person that responded to your post. Why?

It has also been shown in your own posts that you change the facts or
add on to them. I noticed that you have resorted to swearing and
cursing others as a means to deflect the issues.

You could have nicely in your first post said, "Elector I already had
my money return and thanks for asking" but you lashed out with
nastiness. I wonder why?

Personally I would not want you to take my picture or any photos of my
family due to your bad language and general nasty attitudes. I am
praying that your not that way with customers.

Lastly I noted that you threatened Mr. Elector. You sir should be
careful since it will be you that will be reported and possibly have
actions taken against you.

Let the thread drop. Its is now over 83 posts long and has three spin
off segments.

W.

Yes W.
I believe you are correct in your post. I will not respond further to that
imbecile. Since you were correct that it never wanted assistance but to vent
and troll the group.

When will I ever learn :-)
