Motorola E815 holster breaks

Has anyone else had my experience with this great phone but apparently
non-functional holster?
Two successive holsters have broken after about 3 months of use. They
broke in the same place: the neck that supports the tab that hooks into
the top of the phone.
I noticed that someone else posted about how easily the phone fell from
the holster. It took me quite a while to get used to nuances of how one
had to exactly seat it so that it would not fall out. Anyone think the
term "bad design" comes to mind?

I picked up an enclosed 'holster' made for the Samsung that works
perfectly for the E815 at the Verizon dealer. This might just be worth
looking into.

Have a look at these... http://www.niteize.com/category.php?category_id=27. These seem to be foolproof... tough, won't fall off, protects phone.

I got one thru Verizon. Mistake. Much cheaper online.

I picked up the Motorola EVA pouch for mine. It's listed as an
accessory for the E815 on Moto's site and is inexpensive, even there.
It works well, my phone has yet to fall out of the pouch and I never
use the strap provided to secure the phone in the pouch. It's the
ONLY holster I use with my phone, despite having 2 leather cases and a
plastic holster for it.

Yes, I had exactly the same experience, except that the flimsiness of the
neck was so apparent to me after it happened that I did not bother to try it
a second time.
