The ones that Sprint sells require you to pull wax paper off both sides of
an adhesive square. Then you have to carefully position it on both the rivet
and the phone. This can result in things looking rigged. I've seen it
happen. But, then again maybe it won't be a problem for you.

I got mine from diamondwireless.com which I've stated before here. It's the
"small swivel clip" for about $5 plus shipping. It has the adhesive already
on the rivet which makes things a little easier. I've used it on both my sTP
and dTP. Never a problem. In fact, it includes two rivets so you have an
extra for your next phone.

The better swivel clips on the market use 3M double adhesive foam tabs. You
should see some faint 3M logo on the paper backing that comes off of the
foam tabs. Provided you prep the surface with an alcohol swipe... they last
forever! The 3M foam tape is incredible stuff and VERY permanent.

One of the things I liked about the Nokia was the swivel belt clip, that slid
over the lip of the case. I've always stayed away of the stick-on clips, out
of fear that the adhesive will eventually weaken.

The dTP can't use the one that clips on, so I need to use the stick-on type (I
don't want to put the phone in a case).

If anyone here has used one of these stick-ons with the dTP (or, even with
another phone) I'd like to hear how it worked out for you.... any problems
with it coming loose?

thanks

I used a stick on swivel clip that I bought at Best Buy for my old Sony
CM-B1201 and it worked like a charm. Don't worry about the advesive losing
its bonding ability because when I finally took of the nub, it took A LOT of
effort to remove it. It will not fall off from normal use.

The one I got from Radio Shack seems to be a combination of what you're
talking about and may have the 3M adhesive that Steven mentioned. The paper
backing had a green plaid-like pattern that I remember thinking was 3M, but I
don't actually recall if it said 3M on it. It also came with two rivets (one
round base and one rectangular base - the rivets are both round). The
difference seems to be that on mine, the adhesive was not already on the
rivet. It was like you described in the first paragraph.

It's been stuck on the phone ("setting") for over about 36 hours now and seems
to be on really solidly - I just haven't yet gotten up the nerve to hang it on
my waist and walk out onto the concrete pavement;-)

Yep... if it had green plaid... it was 3M. BTW... the clip you're talking
about is made by a company called TheClip. The model I use is the
Micro-Swivel Clip. Here in the greater Seattle area, a dept. store named
Fred Meyer's sells them in their electronic section for about $5.

For those of you that want these clips but can't find them in stores:
http://www.theclip.com/

Oddly enough they sell them on their web site for more than you can find
them in stores. I think the ones packaged for Rat Shack are made by this
company and just packaged in RS plastic.

I had one of these clips on my Qualcomm 2700--not exactly a
lightweight phone. Trust them. They'll stick on until you pry them off
with a razor blade and acetone!

Thanks. Now, I know how to remove it, if I want to;-)

well I finally got tired of waiting for a plastic holster to come out for
the dTP!!

Went out and bought a swivel clip. After I buy it, I see that Ericsson makes
these small leather pouches (not the ones that looks like an 'overall' on
the phone :) You just put the phone in there and secure it with a strap
over the top. The pouch is very small and looks kool. Why stick a button on
your phone when u can get something like a pouch? Do any of u guys use it?

I'm gonna be out there tomorrow looking for a pouch that does not have
'Ericsson' written on it!

I had a stick on clip on my old Sony SPCS phone. Holds great. Never
seemed like that nub wanted to budge. Just use the adhesive pad that
comes with the phone.

Personnaly, I won't put a nub on my dTP becasue it will take away from
the slimness of the phone.
