Does anyone out there know where I can get my hands on a holster for this
phone? Is there a holster for it?

Don't quote me... but I think the physical dimensions between the SCP-4500
and the SCP-4700 are the same. Anyone who has had the two please confirm or
deny.

Anyway recently there have been some ads for "Taiwankids," selling swivel
holsters here in this newsgroup. I have the 4500 and was tired of covering
up a good looking phone in a bulky leather case. They had a swivel holster
for the Sanyo 4500 for $6.99. I took a chance. Overall this is a really
slick design, the holster is molded perfectly for the 4500. The top clip
snaps into the wrist strap hole on the phone (smart).

The holster swivels only 180 degrees so you can carry it in three positions
either side of vertical like this> _\|/_ (sorry those are the only
characters I have to work with). The only thing I would have done
differently in the design would have been to include a separate swivel clip
i.e., "The Clip" and not have molded it on the case. One reason being is if
you have the slightest fat around the middle... the clip can dig into your
side. Secondly with the phone in the vertical position it rides to high,
again hitting you in the side. So I have to wear it swiveled sideways
(horizontal) and upside down so the clip doesn't dig in my side... but
that's OK, that's how I've worn my others.

If the holster and swivel were separate, you could position the swivel lower
if needed. Plus "The Clip" is designed more compactly.

Anyway for the price, I like it. Should have ordered two at that price.

No need. Now you can scratch up a good looking phone in a holster.
