Hi,

I am giving my phone to my mum as hers has broke and I have a new one - only
problem is that when I put her sim card in the phone requests a security
code (which I can't remember) - put my sim back in and it's fine. I cannot
restore factory settings as this also needs the code....

Short of taking it to a shop and getting them to reset it, do I have any
options ?

Thanks, Elliot.

Do you have Logomanager and a data cable ?

if you do then you can read the security code .

Mike

RTFM, use a search engine, or search around in this group for a few moments.
if you had done, then you would know that the default code is 12345.

Mike.

Thanks Mike H, but no I don't have the cable unfortunately...

Mike J, I know the default is 12345, I have the manual, if you read my post
then you would know the problem is that I don't know what the code has been
altered to....

Buy a cable that does MBUS (no other way)
Get Nokia Tool
Read phone
Tick all SFS apart from GUI
Apply SFS
Read phone
12345 now off and works.

Then get EEPROM Tools 3.1
Click the padlock
and phone is unlocked.

If no start animation after (you did click GUI)
Use LogoManager to put it back.
You need the phone on as if to make a call and connected (with a SIM card
active) to set it...
