sim card registration failed on nokia 3310

can someone help me. i have a phone that is locked to orange.when i put a
orange sim in and it says sim card registration failed.what does this mean?
and then i have no signal why is this?

If you try ANY orange sim and you get the same then the phone is stolen or
on the orange blacklist for some reason or another

It means you must phone up orange and register the sim card before you can
use it

is there any way to get rid of this so i can use the phone if i have the sim
card in turn on the phone and the signal comes up for a bout a second and
then the screen says sim card registration failed is there any way i can use
my phone?

Not sure about your question I know on Vodaphone PAYG cards you have to make
your first call and that's that - sim ready to go!

I know One2One PAYG sim cards you have to call them up give name address
number before the card can be used.

To answer your question: Yes you can use your phone but only with another
already Registered sim card.

If you register you don't really lose anything. You gain approx £7.50 of
call time and if you lose the sim they send you another free so I heard

i got it off a friend for £30
the sim card works in other orange phones fine

then it is 99% reported stolen, email me the IMEI and ill check it out for
you if you want?
