I am being offered this Nokia 6360 model by Rogers (Vancouver) as their
(apparently) ONLY available upgrade (within financial limits) that I can
get from them that offers:

1) AMPS 800 Analog signal necessary to:
(a) reach reliably from summer cabin in Gulf Islands to cells in
Vancouver / Bowen Island / UBC (believe me! there are NO fully-digital
signals available from this island!)
AND
(b) work reliably in "fringe" areas along BC highways between major
centres

2) TDMA 800 / 1900 signal necessary to receive and use some
digital-only features in the City;

Questions:

1) How old is this phone ? When was it first introduced ?

2) Will it do what I need for the moment ?

3) Will it serve me reliably for the next 2 years of my Rogers
contract?

TIA !

A Google Groups search shows posts dating from late 2001.

I've had one for about 8 months, and I love it. (I had a 3360.)

I think it will serve until they turn off too many TDMA towers.
