I'm currently on an seperate AT&T plan hedd by my employer. I have a
curve that's having problems and my employer does not want to upgrade,
fix or replace the phone.
Amazon has an incredible deal on the Bold. for .01 for 2 years and
$100 gift card.. I presume per phone.
We'd like to get 3 Bolds, but don't want the data plan on two of them.
In fact, I'd like to grab one of them for myself and hold the second
one, and swtich the other two accounts to cheap non data plans.
My questions before I ask Amazon and ATT:
-Is the giftcard $100 per phone?
- It says they will mail as long as account is in "good" standings.
-Can I call AT&T a few weeks in and tell them I don't want data plan
on those two other accounts and switch the sims to some cheap phones?
Will that I work? I suspect so.
-Can the sim card from my Curve work in the Bold and give me 3g and
will my corportate email work as it has been without having to change
anything?
Restrictions on the gift card:

The legal stuff Amazon lists regarding the plan::

I suspect, there won't be any issues and that the price break on the
phone has more to do with keeping the accounts for 2 years open and
not the Blackberry data plan.
Thanks.

What are you planning to do with these phones that wouldn't require
data?

No, your work will need to enter the new PIN into their BES (or BIS)
configuration. It's painless, and possibly something you can do
yourself (if you're on BIS rather then BES), but your work IT department
will know.
thanks.

No. Being able to move a SIM between devices was too easy, so RIM added
some complexity to the matter, each Blackberry has a PIN which is used
for communication between the Blackberry and BES/BIS.
