something whose apparent wrongness only adds to its
perfection. Subterranean Seventies disco bass, heavy
breathing and wolf noises: why did nobody think of it
before?

In her quest to extend her appeal from her Spanish language
base to global superstardom, there is a sense that Shakira
is genuinely trying to invent something original. The 32-
year-old�s Latin rhythms, vocal tricks and ear for
eccentric hooklines have lifted her out of pop rock
homogeneity.

For her follow up to the massive success of 2005�s Oral
Fixation she has recruited some of clubland�s most dynamic
producers, including Pharrell Williams and Santogold
collaborator John Hill. The result is a groovier, more
modern and electro-flavoured collection, yet it is
Shakira�s weird mash of melodies, multiplicitous vocals and
man-eating lyrics that define its character..

Reportedly Shakira has a very high IQ.
One has to be careful trying to understand very intelligent people.
She is to be adored, that is all.
Being over thirty she is already too old to show her sensuous and
delicious body.
