No input solicited from you, Ian or yourself Gav? I can't say I'm
totally surprised, but I am disappointed. I still hold out high
hopes, of course - high hopes are the eternal refuge of the ReBoot
fanatic!

And yet you should probably be prepared for a show on the order of that
CG Disney show for 3 year olds...

We know that, but some people still like to pretend Toy Story was the
first. Figures. It's that Disney brain washing!

I'm really hoping I'll be able to make it to Toronto in August. It
would be so cool to meet you!
Are you there Saturday and Sunday??

I just can't believe they wouldn't make sure the press release stressed
that! (Wouldn't have happened on my watch, LOL!)

All weekend. Not sure when the forum is, but I think I'm doing book
signings all three days.

Cheers

Have to agree with you. Yet it isn't Mainframe anymore (hasn't been for
quite some time, imho).

After seeing what is going on with Transformers, I'm rather leery about
the whole thing. The stories so far don't sound very interesting or
stimulating.
I want ReBoot not Relaunch.
Heck, Gargoyles got a continuation to its original story line ten years
after the final episodes.
What do I want with the stuff they posted, it all sounds like average
fanfiction (and the average fanfiction is quite bad).

While I would like to see ReBoot continued, I'm sorry, I won't buy
something I don't like.

It seems you missed quite a bit.
You do know about the two DVD sets? (Season 1 and first half of Season
2, unfortunately the second DVD set hasn't sold enough so that we get
the second half two).

2005 (or was it 2006?) SlaveLaborcomics started bringing out Gargoyles
in comic format. Story written by Greg Weisman (mastermind behind
Gargoyles since the beginning). We start where Hunter's Night left off
(season 3 isn't considered canonical).

I just got issue number 5 today. Comic is coming out every other month,
the spin-off "Bad Guys" is set to hit off soon, coming out in the
alternating months to the main series. Bad Guys will have 6 issues and
will be in black and white (Gargoyles itself is in full colours), the
other spin offs like Pendragon, Dark Ages and Timedancers might make an
appearance depending on how Bad Guys does.

You might want to check out www.s8.org/gargoyles/askgreg Greg Weisman
answers questions there (though check the archives beforehand) and
you're directly at thte source of information.

I downloaded a heck of a lot of gargoyles a while back.
I think I got all of them (apart from goliath chronicles and the revenge of
the nerd episode which was corrupted)

Ah, I've not been interested in comics for the past 28 years or so.

I have to say that I can't in any way condone that behaviour, that's
part of the reason we aren't getting the last half of season 2. And the
DVDs are really nice, including commentaries for selected episode and a
few other goodies.

For one thing, I didn't know about the DVDs.
For another thing, I STILL don't know about the DVDs in this country.
And I had been looking for gargoyles for years with no luck, so of course
when I found one, I grabbed it. If it is available on dvd they left it too
late.

It's never too late to buy the DVDs. You now know about, there is no
reason to keep the stolen versions anymore.
Based upon your email addy I guess your from England, at least the
DVDs out are actually in your native language. I imported those things
and I would buy them again if they came out in my country (with my
native language's dub).

Oh please.
Stolen indeed.
I hate it when people warp the language to suit their needs, and using the
word stolen in that way is just that.

I took nothing from disney. They still have their original copies. My
versions aren't dvd quality, but they're good enough. (apart from that one
episode)

Theft is the deprivation of something from someone.
Copyright infringement is not and has never been theft. For it to be theft I
would've had to enter their premises and physically remove the actual
films/tapes.

You might, but I'm no mug. Why on earth would I want to buy two copies of
something just to satisfy some marketeer's deluded view of the world?
IF they release the dvds in MY region and PAL, I may consider buying them.
As the media industry has gone out of their way to restrict things based on
geographic location, who am I to argue?

Oh, and I need the money that would've gone towards the DVDs far more than
Disney do.
