I am going to the meeting tomorrow in Salisbury with a liquidation
specialist. If you are not going and would like any questions asked, I will
try to get them asked - EMail me at james_...@hotmail.com. If you are
going, then let me know at the same EMail address, so I can meet with you
at/before the meeting to discuss any issues you might have with my advisor.
Please leave something that will allow me to contact you quickly should the
need arrise.
Cheers, James Ellis.
PS: Sorry about the short notice, but it has been a battle getting this much
together before the meeting.
I believe that there are some less fortunate in Cambridge where (of course)
Haydon Daytune is now defunct also. Here the showroom and garage have been
cleared completely all staff made redundant etc. It's the saddest thing I've
seen in a long time.
It's worth talking to Lotus direct as well - Alice Duran - who seems to be
picking up the pieces of the Haydons mess and trying to find out who owes
what to whom and when.
Good luck!

A Liquidation "Committee" was formed today and they will be following up the
two bids, etc. No further news likely for some months.
I'm hoping Visa will pay up and I can pass the debt on.
despite it being only one side of the story, I can't help feeling Lotus have
lot to answer for in the collapse of haydons. I cannot see how Lotus
themselves can hope to provide customer service/care on the scale that a
dedicated dealer can. (viz Lotus selling cars direct to customers).
I think I still want an M250, but I'm nervous about Lotus' own position, so
would not want to part with any more cash before it was delivered.
Although I was there, I may have mis-represented the situation, but the
above is my current understanding.
