And the sound of the lawnmower was heard all over the land (before the
rain comes again)

Where I live we've had thick cloud cover all day :(

May has been a pretty cold, miserable month here - some sun would be
very welcome.

However, as my tabloid-du-jour points out, dreadful Mays are frequently
followed by flaming Junes. (Yes, I know there's an element of Gambler's
Fallacy about that, just like there is about the next Ice Age being 'due').

At 2:05pm, a gap opened up in the clouds and there was indeed a large,
glowing ball. (However it looked more like plasma than fire.)

It didn't last long - it's now raining again.

'Tis local joke. We've (Frank and I) had rain for the last 6 days.
Thunderstorms, showers, sprinkles, rinse, repeat, repeat, repeat, etc.
Now we are going to get 1.5 days of sunshine before the rains return to
ruin the coming holiday weekend.

it snowed today in Scotland. Didn't actually snow here in Edinburgh,
but it was cold enough and we had icy rain yesterday evening - I know
because I was cycling home in it!
