I've spent most of the evening on YOU TUBE, re-hearing all those old
Stan Freberg routines. I started off by typing "Green Chris$tmas$" on
the YOU TUBE home page. The satire is even more relevent nowadays then
it was 50 years ago. So much so that I doubt if ANY radio station
would have the courage to play it nowadays. And I still think Scrooge
it right the first time.
After that I went through most of what YOU TUBE had to offer from Stan
Freberg. A pleasent way to spend the evening.
By the way, I had to slightly rearrange the furniture in the Chapel,
which is where my computer is located. I now have a three foot tall
"Cat Condo" right next to the chair where I sit. When Fluffy llies
down on the top of the condo, I can use my left hand to pet her. I
sometimes lean over and we rub faces together. I can hear her purring
softly while this go on.
I have also placed a cat tree next to the condo, so Fluffy will have
an easy climb to the top of the condo. At her age, she can no longer
make those big verticle leaps. It also lets her step up to a platform
at the height of the window sill, which is 4 feet above the floor. She
can bask in the sun during the afternoon hours when the west-facing
window allows the sun in. Other times she can just relax on the heated
pad, which is also on the window platform. She seems to be a contented
cat.
Harry, the cats at your place would *have* to be crazy, to not be
content.

I tend to pull this one out on July 4, Columbus Day, Thanksgiving (along
with Alice's Restaurant). If you know the album, you shouldn't have to ask
why :-).

"No, we discover you, here on beach."
I was thinking more or less along the lines of her being an indoor
cat, 24/7, and the way she looks out from the windows on her heated
cat pads. BUT, our neighborhood is a dangerous for cats outside. I try
to make the indoor lifestyle as varied as I can for the three cats
Like I said.
Just don't tell my Pampered Persian Princess that your cats are more
pampered than her!!! She has a cat tree next to the window and the
ledge at the window, but no heated cat pad.
(and my cats are also 24/7 indoor)
