Here in CA it was easy. We all had ballots mailed to us. I read up on
the propositions so I knew what the heck I was voting for or against.
Some of them had some dense verbiage. Nonetheless, I did it and had
hubby proofread my ballot and envelope to ensure I filled out
everything. My eyes will see what I expect them to see but his eyes
won't. He signed the envelope where it says for the person bringing in
the ballot (I had already signed the envelope where I was told to).

Those of you who knew me when I first made my way here may remember I
was a Repub. The last one who was worthy of my vote was the Governator
as he was willing to work with Democrats and create a consensus (turned
the Repubs obstructionist here, which should have been a warning). I
voted for Obama both times and never looked back. I'm now a Democrat.
The other party has gone gonzo, even moreso under the Velveeta
Voldemort. I never voted for that Mango Mussolini.

I wentb in to the county and voted there, weeks ago.

That dense verbiage is deliberate.

I didn't vote for the draft dodger. There are a few other items on the
ballot, dense verbiage, I believe I chose well on those.

Some appeared like the politicians think the adults voting are little
kids with no sense. Some of these laws that need to go away, left over
from the 1800s, are still around.

The blue rainbow-speckled alien nods. "I'm keeping my fingers crossed here on
the other side of the Atlantic for a decisive result. I've no doubt that
there'll be attempts to wriggle out from under the will of the people if it
goes against Trump, but I suspect that in the face of both a strong popular
and electoral majority for Biden, the threats by the other side will be shown
for the hot air they were."

Very much like it was here in South Florida.

Biden is the projected winner on Saturday, November 7, 2020.

And in case some are wondering, part of the mail-in ballots were
Republican. The orange one should have realized that.

Senate is evenly split between both parties. Which means the Vice
President can cast the vote to break any tie vote. This has been going
on for over a hundred years, so no need to panic. i.e. both parties do
this.

I saw the news earlier. :) Some good news in 2020 for a change.

It's not over. At least one "conservative" commentator is urging state
legislatures to ignore the vote in their states and "fulfill their
constitutional duty". The Constitution DOES say that the state
legislatures select the electors, but the legislatures have long-since
delegated that to the voters. If somebody tries this, it will end up in
the Supreme Court.

Also note that Congress decides any dispute over the legitimacy of
electors, which could add some additional complication to things.

I know the phrase 'projected winner' has been in use for decades at

If the orange one had any integrity, and I doubt he does, he would
have conceded by now.

The Tangerine Traitor is tossing a tantrum. He will not concede and he
hasn't freed up the money for the change of administration. His
lawsuits don't have merit. No recount has substantively changed a
thing. The faithless elector problem has been addressed, theoretically.
Biden beat him by a larger margin than Clinton did.

And lo, there was much rejoicing. I couldn't get rid of my
condescending representative. This time. I'll vote against him again
in two years. He's a Trumpanzee.

Following up to myself, the horror.

Anyway: Biden 290 Electoral college votes. Trump has 217 Electoral

Biden has 306. Sound familiar? Like, from four years ago when the
Velveeta Voldemort claimed he won in a landslide? And now he won't
concede. He's a bad winner and a bad loser. This is news?

Biden is still not getting his briefings which he should get as
president-elect. More than one Republican has said that if this goes
on, they'll give him the briefings to which he's entitled. They can't
do much about the money that should have been released for the
transition, alas.
