[JERUSALEM — Several hundred extremist Jews gathered here with their automatic rifles, their anti-Arab slogans and their deep anger Sunday to eulogize Baruch Goldstein as a righteous hero for slaying 48 Palestinians in a Hebron mosque two days earlier. (Brooklyn-born Dr. Goldstein
received his M.D. from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine before emigrating to Israel in 1983 where he served in the army.)
“The act itself was one of greatness. It was a great act of sanctifying the Name (God),” said Noam Federman, a spokesman for Kach. Goldstein was active in Meir Kahane's Kach party, and was third on the party's list for the Knesset during the 1984 elections.
Rabbi Yaacov Perrin, in paying homage to Goldstein, told mourners that even 1 million Arabs “are not worth a Jewish fingernail.” And angry voices in the congregation shouted, “We are all Goldsteins!”

As the most basic book on our current world situation, every literate person should own a copy of JEWISH HISTORY, JEWISH RELIGION [1994, 148 pp.] by the late Israel Shahak PhD of the Hebrew U whom I had the honor of meeting briefly here in San Francisco on April 19th, 1994, an easy date to remember. Or was it the 20th? I attended all three of his speeches here in SFBA.
