U.S. most armed country with 90 guns per 100 people

GENEVA (Reuters) - The United States has 90 guns for every 100 citizens, making it
the most heavily armed society in the world, a report released on Tuesday said.
U.S. citizens own 270 million of the world's 875 million known firearms, according to
the Small Arms Survey 2007 by the Geneva-based Graduate Institute of International
Studies.
About 4.5 million of the 8 million new guns manufactured worldwide each year are
purchased in the United States, it said.
"There is roughly one firearm for every seven people worldwide. Without the United
States, though, this drops to about one firearm per 10 people," it said.
India had the world's second-largest civilian gun arsenal, with an estimated 46
million firearms outside law enforcement and the military, though this represented
just four guns per 100 people there. China, ranked third with 40 million privately
held guns, had 3 firearms per 100 people.
Germany, France, Pakistan, Mexico, Brazil and Russia were next in the ranking of
country's overall civilian gun arsenals.
On a per-capita basis, Yemen had the second most heavily armed citizenry behind the
United States, with 61 guns per 100 people, followed by Finland with 56, Switzerland
with 46, Iraq with 39 and Serbia with 38. Continued...

So, what confuses me is this, did the original Illegal Immigrants
leave their home country's for:
1. Money
2. Freedoms not available at home but protected by Constitution and
Bill of Rights here
3. Overthrow American's
Perhaps you will answer for me?
I always thought that people came here to escape the poverty and lack
of rights and freedoms, not to turn our country into those they
escaped. It sounds like today, many people supporting Illegal
Immigration are doing such to tear down America, and if they do, will
they not lose the protected rights and freedoms they enjoy here EVEN
as Illegals?
And why are Illegals so focused on the anger towards the general
public when we as a majority agree with you, the Illegals, that it is
greedy business and politics that keep them here as more of a slave
than people? Do you honestly believe everyday working stiffs want
Illegals here? If so why if you are competing for the low skill low
pay jobs that they work?
It seems that the focus of these Illegals and their supporters should
be on those who profit on their abuse, not those being harmed. Am I
not right? Or is it they cannot see this aspect because they want the
money from the slave owners (lets be honest of who the employers of
Illegals are) so bad, they feel that these people care while they only
want to boost profits by reducing pay to those who need it?
And if you have a justified complaint at work, who do you complain to?
And if you complain, are you not let go without protection of your
employment by federal labor laws in addition to threats of being
reported and deported? Hmmm, sounds like slave owner tactics of
punishment to me.
If I am wrong about the business' that hire Illegals and they really
care for the workers and their good, let me know, because my bosses do
not give a rip about us legals unless a law makes them, Oh, and they
still try to cheat us everyday unless we catch them doing it. I want
to work for a honest caring employer not doing good because they are
required by law, but I have not found one of those in a long time in
this country I call home.
I have read our Immigration laws here. Can you point out the broken
parts to me, and can you point out those who broke them? Please do not
generalize this point, I really want to know what parts in detail are
broken and who broke them!
This isn't about race, and if it is, if those who are being harmed by
racists were legal, they could be protected under our laws. Perhaps
Chicano's feel it the most because of the numbers they represent, but
are you then saying all other Illegal Immigrants that are not
Chicano's are treated better? Is it true a black, white, red, yellow
skinned Illegal does not get treated like crap just as much as brown
Illegals? Are you saying that they do not fear deportation also
because they are not brown?
Please answer these questions for me in detail. No attacks, just
honest answers to my questions. Can you do that?

by themselves. Parasites need a host, but the host certainly doesn't
need the parasite. The parasite only weakens the host. Mexishits are the
parasites. That's why they can't survive in their own country, but have
to come to the US to suck on social programs and take every handout they
can find.
Mexishits are living proof of their own inferiority - half of Mexico
wants to come to the US. But if mexishits were superior as they like to

One somewhat misleading element on this study is a lack of understanding of
what being armed in other countries means vis-a-vis America.
In Serbia, etc., they're armed for self-protection. With a rifle. Maybe a
handgun. In other places, where handguns are banned, they have a rifle
and/or shotgun for occasional hunting.
In America, where hunting is still a very popular sport as is target
shooting and handguns are not banned, the majority of us have more than one
rifle for hunting, at least one shotgun, and more than one handgun. Also, a
lots of us inherited firearms...
