Hello there,

I have a Kurta XLP 1218 tablet, but I have no manuals etc, so don't know
where to start when it comes to configuring it! Does *anybody* have *any*
information on how to configure this tablet? It has no DIP switches - is it
supposed to have an overlay for soft-menu configuration? Does anybody have a
manual for this model? What is its factory setting data format?

Also if anybody can think of any other newsgroups/websites I might try
please let me know.

Any information would be greatly appreciated - otheriwise its headed for the
nearest dump!

Regards,

Rob Smallshire.

Warning : Those Bandits want big bucks for drivers that should be free ,
in order to keep their hardware working with upgraded software !

( PS: Anybody got NT drivers for a Kurta IS/ONE ? )

I, too, have an XLP 1218. I've never needed a manual, drivers or anything
to use the tablet...but only because I just digitize with it. I don't
"set it up" to do anything other than "trace" images on paper, such as
setting it up for use with a template. If you need to know how to set it
up to work with autocad, as in my case, type in config at the command
prompt and on the pointer tab, add it. There is a driver in there for it.
I have it working with my mouse so it's rather a pleasure to use.
But...I've stopped using it altogether now that we've bought a scanner.
Using the image command in r14 and then tracing it, is a godsend. It's a
whole lot faster and more accurate than anything I've done with a
digitizer. Good luck.
