Does anyone know where I could find a copy of Claris Graphics
Translator 1.1 (CGT 1.1)? I know it is an application with Claris XTND
Translators to convert Claris CAD drawings to DXF and IGES formats. I
have looked on eBay for years (even with the Want It Now) with no
results. I run a legacy page for Claris CAD and was hoping to make it
available since Claris evaporated. A thousand thanks to anyone who can
help me!

Well, I'd rather get it by more legitimate means (rather ironic,
yes?). Thank you, though. Still looking.

I assumed you had a legal copy in the first place (not backed up)
that became corrupted (and had lost the install dsk).

As this seems not to be the case best bet is to find someone
with a legal copy to do the $$ translations for you.

It was my intent to have the program, hopefully with documentation, so
I could accurately describe it's function to others. I don't have any
files to convert just yet, but there are a lot of folks out there who
do. Since it all became abandonware after the Ashlar-Claris suit in
the early '90s, and since Claris died in 1998, I dont think anybody
will care about it being a legal copy or not.

As you cannot get support probably not. And , IIRC, in such
cases you are legally allowed to do certain things.
At worst they (if ever found) could require that you
buy the software which may be what you were trying to do in the
first place.
Just my opine. A quick call to a lawyer in the field might be free.
Or you might try a search on the Web ...

Why anyone would still be using such is beyond me though.

Aha! I have found it. Thank you Mac-Hut. It is on the Claris CAD 2 CD
disk image. Now I hope to make this available to those who need it.

But what of the license to use it?
