Have you got or do you know of any information about the following plotter :-

Houston Instrument
Servo Driven
HIPLOT
DMP-50 Series Digital Plotter
Model EDMP-52

This is a saddle type pen plotter for CAD type of work. I've just had this
thing given to me and I'm after any information about it.

Are drivers avaliable ?
Has anyone info on a contact, or address for the Houston Instrument Corp. ?
Have you got an old manual you don't want,or could I have a copy /FAX of it ?

Thanks in advanve for any help you can give.
Howie.

Houston Instruments are part of Summagraphics. I can probably find a
contact address in the office. When I got a similar model for a customer
a few years ago I don't remember any drivers with it although there may
have been Windows and Autocad ones.

Sorry, this thread's been on-topic far too long. A question : How much of
a French baguette (full-length) can a squirrel carry away in one piece?

a) 1/10
b) 1/5
c) 1/3
d) 1/2
e) I'm abysmally ignorant about squirrels, and probably everything else. I
have no further reason to exist

:-)

(f) none

Er, I tried this at lunchtime with the grey squirrels that inhabit the
trees around work. They don't seem to like baguettes.

Am I allowed to spread peanut butter on the bread?

No. The peanut butter would add to the weight of the baguette, and thus
giving an inaccurate squirrel - baguette weight ratio.

I would like to thank all that helped me out trying to locate drivers for this
plotter. I finally got what I needed via a BBS in Brussels.

For future info to anyone trying to contact SummaGraphics/Houston Instrument:-
UK Office phone 01344 306601 fax 01344 306602
Brussels Office Phone (from UK) 00 32 27215033 BBS 00 32 27251834

I am still looking for a copy/fax of it's manual if anyone has one.

Thanks again to all that helped,
Bye for now,

I'm surprised no-one's been honest enough to opt for (e) yet!

Do they have squirrels in France? If they do, I guess I'll have to
answer (e).
