I have just started running ACAD2000 Mechanical with a digitizer
tablet. All is well until I try and print/plot. When I click on the
print icon, or do a ^P, or select from the file menu, the tablet locks
up and cannot be unlocked. Using the system mouse I have to reboot the
system to get the tablet back to life.

This problem does not occur on Autocad 14 which is also on my machine.
The tablet has been used for a couple of years on this and other
programs (as a mouse) with absolutely no problems. I have checked the
IRQ's and can see no conflict.

System details are:-
Win 98 running a Pentium Pro 200
Virtual Tablet Interface running a Kurta IS/ONE configured as a
CalComp Drawing Board III 34120
ACAD2000 set to Wintab Compatible Digitizer ADI 4.2

Any helpful hints would be gratefully received

Thank you

I have suffered same kind of tablet behaviour. I guess Acad2000 is scanning
com ports for plotters causing the lockup. I have also a Microsoft PS/2
mouse that can be used to make the plot.

You can reset Virtual Tablet on the fly without rebooting with the config
managers device tabs reset button.

It's a nuisance, but I have not found any Acad setting "do not scan com
ports at print dialog startup".
