I am having trouble plotting word and excel files inside AutoCad 2000.
They will plot fine on my HP Deskjet 1120C. When I send them to the HP
750C plotter, the text comes thru as a big black blob. I have set my
screen colour to white, hoping that would solve it, but it doesn't. Why
would my 1120c plot it out correctly and not the bigger plotter?

Thanks in advance,
Erin

Try copying the word or excel text to the windows clipboard and using
"Paste Special", Insert the clipboard contents as autocad
entities.....otherwise, you are right...they will plot as black boxes.

Have you tried Insert OLE? That works great for us, we use it to put all
kinds of Office docs into AutoCAD and they plot great.

It should print OK if you set your printer through settings>printers then
print using your default system driver in autocad as this uses the windows
driver.

I don't think you can do this with 2000. It seems to want to control all of
the plotter settings. I had no problem doing this with R14.
