is there any quick way to take a paper spaced drawing with viewports and
make it into a drawing that maintains all the views and has the entire
drawing (including what was in paper space) all on model space?
If you know anyone with the R14 beta, you could replicate each viewport
as a clipped xref.

I tried this, at first it seemed like a good solution, but close
inspection found that even though I specified an output of A0 sheet
size for a drawing normally plotted to A1, and regardless of the scale
of importing, the accuracy problem was unacceptable. I haven't yet
figured out why this is, and as this is purely a question of the
availability of time, or rather the lack thereof, this may well be
solved. In any event, at first go it produced unacceptable results.
But the major drawback that prevented me from investigating further
was the failure to produce hidden line views to EPS, even though
called for. (Did I miss something here?)
