Adding Hatch Pattern??

can anyone please tell me how to add a new hatch pattern into the
Libary(acad.pat)?????

As outlined in the Customization Guide of the Help system, just add it to
the file with any ASCII (plain text) editor -- like NotePad. (Good idea
to make a backup copy first, in case you mess it up.)

Well I did figure out how to edit the .pat file, but my new patterns show as
"no icon!" in the 'Hatch Pattern Palette' selection. Any way to add slides
to this? Do I have to start from scratch? ( How ? ) TIA

Detailed instructions on the entire process from start to finish can be found at
the URL below, using tools you already have. Go to 'Procedures', then 'Adding
Hatches'.
