Seems as though the Layer translator has no affect on nested block layer
names. In other words, if I want to translate layer names that are contained
in nested blocks to a layer with a different name, for some reason they
don't translate. Maybe it's because attributes are contained in these
particular blocks. Anybody understand what's going on?

Not sure I'm awake yet, but will Xpress Tools layer merge
do it for you?
(haven't used it for attributed items)

Unfortunately, I haven't purchased express tools YET. Still trying to decide
if 149 is worth it for only a couple of commands I'll probably use. Still
thinking I can write these commands when I get the lisp thing down. How many
express tools do you actually use?
