Hello!

I have received a topo map of an urban area in Arcview, saved as a
shapefile. The file size is less than 2 MB. I need a quick way to convert
it to AutoCAD, release 14 or lower, so we can use it in an existing
system.

Absolute accuracy is NOT required.

Can someone suggest a way to do this? Thank you.

Email copies of any replies would be helpful.

Hello Miles,

Arcv2CAD is a standalone utility that converts Arcview/ESRI shapefiles
to AutoCAD DXF/DWG. There is a free evaluation version which will give
you 10 large file translations at

Thanks to everyone who responded! Paul Guthrie's software did the Arcview
to AutoCAD translation cleanly and easily, and the price for translating
my one file was right!
