Friend, I am trying to plot very thin lines.
I use PDFwrite, set 'Plot Style Table' and select 'monochrome.ctb' so that I
can plot black and white drawing only - (is this correct?). Then, edit, and
in black color, I try to select thin at 'lineweight'. I can only select from
0.000mm
0.050mm
0.090mm
There is no think line, such as 0.001mm or 0.01mm.
Can you tell me how to select thin lines? Thank you.

0.000mm sounds pretty "thin" to me ...

Say you had a 1200 dpi plotter. Simple arithmetic shows that it would be
capable of plotting 472 dots per cm, or 47 dots per mm which means that 1
dot = 0.02mm.

That's pretty thin! I think an HP1050 for instance could only plot this thin
in one direction (I think its resolution is 1200 x 600).

You want to print a thinner line? Get a better plotter. :-)

Actually, I am ploting to PDFwriter.
Thinner line, say 0.001 is much better for me when I print this out at a
laserprinter.

if you open up the plot style table there is a button called 'edit
lineweights'. click on this, click on a lineweight that is not being
used, click on 'edit lineweights' again and you will be able to type
in the width that you want.

You are very close, go to edit next to "plot style table (pen
assignments)". This will open up a dialog box with three tabs, General,
Table View, and Form view. Under Table View or Form View will be an Edit
Lineweights button, Click this and and then you should be able to edit or
add different line weights. Hope this helps.

Yah I would recommend this too.
But don't forget to attach the new plotstyle in your Print Dialogue.
Cad 2000/2002 uses CTB plotstyles.
