Does any body know how to make lines appear over the top of a raster image
viewport?

I've tried displayorder but still will not appear over the top of the
scanned image even in plotter preview.

HHEEEEELLPPP!

Matthew,

You can draw over a raster image, but it HAS to be in
model space, and turn the transparency for the image
ON. I went nuts trying to get part number leaders to
be visible inside the image frame in paper space, but
to no avail.....then I tried it in MS, and it worked!

Good luck!

Question...... there is absolutely no way to keep
raster images in model space but view them thru
paper space view ports and do the above??

John - With R14 and 14.01, I have found nothing one can do to the image
in modelspace that will permit paperspace objects to plot "on top" of
it. In modelspace, setting the image's draworder to "back" will permit
other modelspace objects to plot on top of it, but not paperspace
objects. A natural fix for R15, if you ask me.

From my experience and much trial and error, No. I wanted
to put the P/N Balloons in PS like I normally do, but had
no success at it, so I developed this work-around.

The general rule I found was that in order to combine raster
and vector images, they MUST be in the same tilemode...maybe
this is something that will be remedied in Release 15..
...hint, hint AutoDesk?

OK..... my experience is the same also. Just
wanted to chk and make sure i wasn't missing
something tho.<G>

I really like using paper space and model space
tho. All of my drawings that do NOT have raster
images have the model in mspace.... and the text,
border, etc... in pspace.

BUT... the few drawings I do have that have raster
images in them .... EVERYTHING must be in mspace.
So.. I wind up having two different sets of
drawings. I would prefer everything to be
consistent.... i.e the model in mspace and the
notes in pspace.

Hello-
Try using "draworder" instead and select the image "frames" when prompted then
it should send them to the back.

Toggle your 'transparancy'(sp?) to on. It's located in the 'modify' pull down.
Hope this helps
Ralph

has anyone tried to copy everything ontop of itself, (except image) then
erase previous?? sometimes the "display order command does not work!!

Yep. Do it all the time. Easy with AutoLISP.
