How many Amway dist's in the UK?

thousands of Amway distributors in the US but does anyone
have any idea how many there are in the UK?
I expect there may also be some other MLMers elsewhere who
may be interested in how many there are in other
countries.

I've got a downline over there, so I know there's at least that many. ;-)
My upline Diamonds, Dave Lewis, Hal Gooch, and Parker Grabill recently
started developing business there and it's growing quite robustly.
I don't have any specific numbers, though, sorry.

I have recently signed up as an Amway distributor in Ireland. My sponsor and
his sponsor are also here but above that they are in the U.K.. As far as I
know there are about 60,000 Amway distributors in the U.K. however over half of
these are in our organisation. Amway has been in the U.K. since 1973, our groupstarted about 10 years ago. I,m not sure how many distributors there are in the Republic of Ireland. Our organisation has only recently started sponsoring here and things are going extremely well thanks to our brilliant upline in the
UK.
A few years ago there was a surge of Amway pople here but it didn't last very
long. As far as I know the distributors concentrated on the retailing side of
the business instead of sponsoring new distributors and building large networks where all the real money lies. I guess it all depends on your upline but thank
God I'm in the most successful organisation in these islands if not in the world.
There are many other mlm busineses here but none of them have made much impact.
In the UK Amway have government recognition for their efforts and all the Emeralds and Diamond went to meet Prince Charles a few months ago.

Of these, more than half are in the IBS Organisation which
has the Dexter Yager/Fred Harteis/Jerry Harteis/Bill O'Brien
upline in the states, and is headed by Pat Gregory and Jerry Scriven in the UK.
There is some crossover with the Tim Bryan organisation as well.
New IBS direct distributors, and the higher levels
of Ruby, Pearl and Emerald fill the recognition pages of
the UK Amagram magazine - these achievements are largely due
to the professional level of advice and information that
comes down through the IBS upline and is duplicated here.
Retail sales in '92 was put at UKP 32 million, and is projected
at UKP 54 million for '93, and over UKP 200 million in the next
five years. More and more European companies are passing their
products through Amway UK including Phillips, Motorola, Russell Hobbs,...
Amway UK is continuing in its campaign to clean up the law
in the UK concerning MLMs. IBS Amway distributors are careful
to distance Amway from the other non-retail or non-consumable-retail
MLMs (and scams) that are also trying to operate.
Recently Amway sent a petition to the House of Commons
asking for a revue of the current legislation. Of the 77,000 signatures
on the petition 70,000 came from IBS distributors and their customers.
