Has anyone else requested this? I did and it is a uuencoded file, and it
is from someone named "Charlatan".
With the computer viruses in the UUencoded files running around last
month, and with a name like this, I really don't want to try decoding it
on my system, let alone ddeal with a Charlatan from Hong Kong.
Any thoughts?

I would like to put an end to this in the simplest of fashion. I posted
the original message. Included in the message was a complete company
signature. The information included within this signature is %100 correct.
Some of the people who read the post and responded, serious clients,
called me direct in Hong Kong to verify this.
If anyone would like to verify our firm, or any firm in Hong Kong, this
is quite a simple process. Call the Trade Development Council in Hong
Kong. Being a firm that has been established here for almost half a
century, this will an almost instantaneous method to put your mind at ease
- if that is, you are wary (and you should be)
The reply received under the name Charlatan was a mistake by the
auto-respond mailbot. I dont feel the mistake was that major, as the .sig
on name, and Message ID on my mail all point to the same addresses.
The concept of trust has certainly fallen to very low levels on the
net. Sweeping comments such as " NEVER do business with a person who does
not use his real name." are very very well-advised. The fact that I DID
USE MY REAL NAME should enter into the picture for at least one nanosecond
before accusing myself of being a 'virus spreader.'
Regardless, I am confident that all serious buyers will (and should)
still use the telephone to verify their dealings.
Kind Regards,
Sunil Mulchand
